I am from Menomonee Falls and love to go to McDonalds and relax and read the paper. I go usually every day, but I refuse to ever go to any one of them in the Falls again. Why? Because they are the dirtiest, most filthy, and uncaring people when it come to cleanliness that I have ever seen. I am telling you this after going there for over 5 months straight, every single morning until I finally realized that the only time that they will ever change is when they believe that someone may be watching and charting them. Can you even imagine a bathroom not being cleaned for over 10 days because the regular is off? My point to all of this is that I have visited the West Bend McDonalds on HWY 33 and every single time I go there, regardless if it is 7 in the morning, noon, or 6 at night, this McDonalds cares about everything and doesn't just tell you they do and that they strive for excellence like the others do. The people that work there are so kind and friendly, and the store is so clean every where and that includes the bathrooms. Unlike Menomonee Falls, who will only clean things after they are asked to, and then not so much, this McDonalds actually has a very sweet and pleasant women that does nothing but clean tables, floors, and takes out the garbage. It is such a pleasure visiting them and I am so sad that I no longer live near bye. I now am a Burger King man. Went in to get the burger corrected kid says it's not hard it's toasted I opened it up showed him not toasted that's a rock, he said oh wow, no sorry, chz he says is always cold it just melts on the burger, explained no you heat the darn burger up then. He then gave me a new cold burger, still cold chz, bun soggy this time, not customized had all toppings which was wrong. He had receipt in hand to show. Also ordered a 2chzbrgr meal customized they added all toppings, small fry meal but comes with medium fries, they were cold. Did not bother going in again, drive thru was packed, not moving to get that corrected again, happy meal was not fixed. How many times do I have to go in?! Literally sick of paying for a certain service within the fast food community, always getting it wrong, then the staff lacks so much customer service, they do not care, are so rude when they are the ones who messed up. No sauce, no napkins ever, asked for it at ordering. Chance after chance at this place, stopped going for awhile but the grands love mcds! I had a very disappointing experience at this location recently. I went through the drive-thru twice—once for food and then again because I forgot to order a drink. When I returned, the cashier at the first window recognized me and commented, "You're back," which was fine. I replied, "Yes, I am here a lot since I'm a loyal customer."
However, she then made an inappropriate and uncalled-for remark: "You don't have a kitchen," implying I don’t cook or make food at home. I found this extremely rude and unprofessional. I responded politely that I do cook but enjoy seeing the staff. Even so, I was caught off guard by the judgmental tone and the assumption behind her comment.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any customer service setting. You don’t speak to anyone like that—especially a paying, repeat customer. It feels like they just hire anyone these days without proper training in basic respect or customer interaction. This location has really gone downhill, and after this encounter, I won’t be returning.
