The Cassidys are all about ice cream even though we are all pretty tight with our favorites. I have had gelato at the KoP Mall many moons ago and it was lovely and green (mint, that is). This place. It was kind of a last minute pick but we thought we would give it a whirl because it had been reviewed so well. So...there's no dine-in, which is fine. I'm not a huge fan of this block of town since it's close to lots of traffic...just not a fan with kids. The workers were nice, but not overly nice. One of these days, I'm going to meet someone who loves working with ice cream! It was a chilly evening so we were a bit out of our league with ice cream...The mint seemed green, but it was misleading. Overall, pricey. Way too pricey. The mint was not green and not good. Everything was okay, but not great and certainly not worth it at all. Overall, not a win! We will not be back. Instead, we will stick with Cookie Dope for the service and the tables and Kilwin's for the yummy overall despite...

Luckily, they have rotating vegan flavors and I got to try the peanut butter a couple of weekends ago. I was blown away! It's SO good, and you'd never know it was vegan. I've had my fair share of disappointing almond milk "ice cream", so to know that I can come here and get my gelato/ice cream fix without feeling like I'm missing something really makes me happy. I will definitely be working my way through their other...
Read moreA lovely little spot for yummy gelato. We went around 8pm and there was still plenty of a crowd. They have a few seats right in front of the store and in a small alley next to the building.
It's a tight spot but the ambience was well worth it, with a European café feel, music playing and flowery decor. It being my first visit was all the more magical in the moonlight.
They usually have a few vegan options which you'll either see prefixed with the word "vegan" on the menu or you can ask them.
Cost for 3 small cups is 20$. We tried chocolate and vanilla (not vegan when I tried them), which were both pretty good!
I'm excited to head back and try the...
