If you like your food with a side of misogyny this is your place. While the food is excellence, albeit pricey for the portions and longer than average wait times for comparable food, I live directly behind this restaurant and like to share my patronage with them as often as I can. On a few separate occasions I have been greeted by a taller attractive man at checkout who is incredibly condescending if ever he is asked a question about the food or the restaurant's processes (e.g.do you have a display for order numbers?) Today when I went to place my order I was instead greeted by an incredibly kind and joyful young lady who made me feel welcome there for the first time, a particularly special aspect of CX after months of being socially isolated re: state of the world. She took my order and indicated it would be a 15 to 20 minute, which didn't bother me because our exchange was so pleasant. During my wait i witnessed that same man I described above berate her from the kitchen, instructing her not to look at her phone, despite the fact that no patrons were near the counter or placing orders. A few minutes later he continued to berate her and instructed her to take out her airpods, which I am 99% certain weren't on. The entire time he is doing this I am laughing underneath my face mask because he is criticizing her audibly only because he has taken his mask off his nose and mouth to do so....while handling every order that makes the exchange from the kitchen to paying customers. I appreciate their food and this particular female employee's kindness in a time like this and would like to remind the other gentleman that kindness is what we all need right now and she alone is the reason I will come back...
Read moreI ordered fries. That's all. It took a very long time for them to cook for some reason. I couldnt wait any longer because I had to get back to work. I waited 15 minutes for fries. I honestly dont think they were prepared after I placed my order. I asked for my money back because I had to get back to work. The young lady who rang me up (who gave great customer service), went to the counter (where the food is prepared) to check on my order. Bad idea. There were several males in the back cooking but this one particular male complained loudly about me asking for my money back. Not only did he embarrass his own employee who could barely look me in the face to tell me what he said, but this was overall embarrassing for me. I heard EVERY SINGLE NON DESERVING WORD that this coworker/manager said about me and how long it takes to make fries. So did the other customers! I even tried to explain that nothing was wrong. I just couldnt wait another minute. I would be back next time. Not only was I ignored but yet he kept talking out loud about me wanting my money back. They were fries. It wasnt a big deal. I will NEVER EVER EVER eat at CRAVE again. I am done supporting this restaurant who dont appreciate every customer for ANY reason when they walk through the door. I will not spend my money where I can hear employees/managers talking bad about their customers either! I will never forget the way you made...
Read moreThe food is good and the service is usually good too. However I went there at noon with my elderly parents and my dad was looking at the brochure menu and the price for the mixed grill was $28.95. On the screen menu the price is $30.95.
When I brought this up to the employee instead of a sorry it was a “where did you get that menu”? Like where else am I supposed to get your restaurant’s menu sir?
Then he checked the other paper menu and he saw the same issue so then he said sorry but then pointed out the back of the brochure menu where it says “All prices are subject to change without notice”.
Overall it’s not a big deal but here’s a few principles that make a restaurant either just ok or great.
this is an Arab place. Where is the Muslim Arab hospitality and kindness? Could have offered a sweet or something.
Why the defensiveness? If I pointed out a menu price is different from your menu inside your restaurant, what’s with the suspicion?
Throw away your old paper menus. People like my elderly dad are looking at the paper menu and reasonably assuming that is the price of the food. No one is looking at the back of the menu in small fine print to make sure the “…prices are subject to change…”. Don’t penny pinch like that especially when you are tricking other people and being deceitful with their money whether...
