sorry have to edit my review as the policy has changed, no longer pet friendly inside so ordering inside with your dog and then sitting outside is not possible. They had too many fines and customers kept calling the city on them sadly. My review below has changed and not accurate information anymore.
Love that itâs dog friendly, I especially love coming here in the fall and sitting on the alley-like patio. If youâre an over thinker like me here is the most non confrontational experience you can have. (Learn from my mistake) Wait in line and order at the right side of the counter. If you order a drink make sure you wait for it to be made and for them to announce your drink. Waiting on the left side of the counter. Retrieving your drink in the center of the counter. If you get food they will bring food out to you if they give you a number when you ordered. Youâll then place it on the table you sit at, make sure itâs visible. Try not to leave your drink for more than 7 minutes at the counter/ miss your drink announcement. I didnât assume they would bring it out but went back in to get my drink after getting my to-go food as I didnât want my dog or I to be in the way and they tossed it and had to make a new one. Which made me feel really bad for misinterpreting their pick up, drop off situation. Hope that helps someone!
Iâve actually never sat inside but dogs are allowed indoor and outdoors. Outdoors is our favorite, very spacious anytime before 11:00 am or so. Wish there were more cafes like this...
Read moreI arrived in the evening after 5 pm to the wonderful surprise of the a beautiful place to spend time. For such a large open space, they seemed to have a space for whatever mood you are in, be it tucked in a corner, sharing a table, booth, chill on a couch, chair or single table, it was a âgreatâ find. The atmosphere, music, lighting, and food selection were perfect for me to study and work. I felt very comfortable and will return to explore the other amenities as the weather warms.
Food/Drink: I ordered a snack and hot chocolate. My friend ordered hot chocolate, which was served with a beautiful presentation in a coffee cup with a leaf styled froth. I ordered the same and tatter tots. I chose not to âtipâ on my card, the barista immediately went from nice to âattitude,â my chocolate was served with flat bubbles, no leaf style, and barely lukewarm. I returned to the counter with a âcashâ tip and a request to heat my chocolate in a microwave. I offered to âcashâ tip only to be told âitâs ok, not necessary and my drink could not be reheated, theyâd have to "remake" the drink with NO offer to "remake" the drink. I inquired about the tatter tots and was told 5 mins or so STILL WITH THE SAME ATTITUDE. Morale: TIP the barista if you want good service
UPDATE: I went back the next day, different barista, excellent drink and time spent. (they did not wait to see if I tiped before making my...
Read moreWhen I came in, I was not greeted. When a young white lady walked up behind me, they looked past me and spoke to her. No one told me about the accommodations, so I just ordered a latte to sit in the lobby. The place was quiet, which wouldnât have been every if it wasnât for the awkward exchanges with the staff. When my drink was ready , I noticed the lobby was full so I asked if I could go upstairs. They said this belongs to an apartment bldg but I can drink in the bar downstairs. I started to take my filled to the brim, hot latte through the lobby, and down some stairs into a dark hallway, and stopped. I went back upstairs and said I donât want to drink in a bar. Could you give it to me to go? They put it in a cup, set it down didnât say a word to me. No lid. Didnât tell me where the lids were. Didnât say sorry about the confusion. Nor Asked if itâs my first time there. Why would a customer not assume that the lobby belonged to them? And why would you pour a hot beverage to stay with nowhere to sit? Or at least explain if you buy this beverage to stay, youâll have to drink at the bar. I felt like persona non grata; they barely said two words to me. I donât know what it is, but thereâs some -ism at play. Or just plain complacency. For a $6...
