Authentic. If I could sum up my review in one word, that would be it. This place serves up really authentic Mexican fare at a fairly reasonable price. I had the tacos and they tasted great. A mouthful of flavor with every bite. It was crunchy, full of tasty spices coupled with a soft tortilla that was nice and warm. I also got to try their various salsas and it was really nice. Ranging from mild, to spicy, to sweet, it was a delight to eat just with some warm tortillas.

There were many Mexicans who were patronising this place, which is always a good sign when it's native people choose to come.

My only gripe would be the slow service. Maybe I went at an unusual time, not quite lunch and not quite dinner. So for the entire place, there was only one server. Needless to say, it took a while to get her attention.

Other than that, a nice little place for some authentic Mexican fare, especially if you're heading to a bulls or hawks game at the United Centre after, it's a...

After moving away from the delicious Mexican offerings off of the Montrose brownline stop I had no idea where to turn to in the West Loop area. My husband and I ordered delivery from here on a Saturday evening, and the food arrived promptly and everything was fresh. We ordered the chips and guacamole to start with, and the chips were tasty but the guacamole could have been a little more flavorful. We also ordered a steak quesadilla which was small, but great for two people to split as an appetizer. There was a nice ratio of cheese to steak. Lastly, we each had an al pastor burrito which was a generous portion. The meat had a nice char to it, and there were bits of freshly sliced tomatoes, lettuce, and avocado. I'm excited to try more tasty options...

We ordered online through the restaurant website (hours before the restaurant closed). 45 minutes past the expected delivery time I call the restaurant and they say the order is on its way and it should be there in 5 min (I live 0.5 miles from restaurant). Another 15 minutes pass and I call the restaurant - no answer. I call again and after several rings get an answer from a different person who says ”we’re not open.” I explain the situation (it’s 8p on a Friday) who says they can see my order but for “some reason” it wasn’t done and end of conversation. After quite a bit of discussion, they offer to refund me- but this was not offered off the bat. If you’d like to play a prank on someone- tell them to order here. Will certainly not...

My order was take out and I had the chopped steak burrito dinner and flan. Overall, the meal was mediocre. The steak was chopped small, which I liked, but it lacked seasoning and wasn’t tender. I specifically asked for no beans in my burrito, and while that was honored, I expected a bit more effort in the side portions—both the beans and rice sides were only half full. The flan was disappointing as well. It was served in a styrofoam bowl, which immediately made it feel less authentic, and the taste didn’t redeem it. It was just as mediocre as the main course. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’d order from here again.

Under new management I got the chance to try out this location for the first time under the new management and they're coming in swinging! I tried a bit of everyting and it's nice to get a good taste of fine mexican cousine somewhere near downtown chicago. I recommend the Carne asada and Odly enough, the Chicken Wings. The agua de horchata was very natural to the taste and I did not find it difficult to find parking space. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for some good authentic food!

Awful service. Extremely small portions. Greasy. It’s a sit down, eat and shut up kinda attitude from the order taker to the cook. Plus, they cheat on the bill by charging you five percent or more if you don’t pay in cash. When I complained, the guy told me that I never asked, them he showed me a sign, 4 inch by 3, hidden amongst all other needless posts underneath the counter... AVOID THIS DUMP.
