What a pleasant and phenomenal food experience on a Sunday. I've lived in the area for some time, and this was my first time stopping it. My family and I sat outside as the weather was nice. The wait staff was pleasant. They brought out complimentary fresh warm bread, and it was delicious. I was there with a rather large group, and we were treated great. We had a slew of options, including chicken vesuvio, fried calamari, and twice back clams. My husband had a NY Strip, and it was magnificent. Often the steak is overcooked, but this place got it right! Everything was excellent. A gentleman, the chef, came over and checked in with the entire table. He somehow managed to repeat all of our names and remembered that my nephew was headed to college. We also saw him check in with the other tables. It's clear that this is standard and shows they care about the experience. That's pretty cool. We were also offered us complimentary appetizer which was not only thoughtful but, more importantly, unexpected. We didn't get a chance to order dessert as we were too full from the meal, but it will be on my list of things to get next time. My family all agreed that this place was excellent. We'll definitely be back and we'll recommend this to our...
Read moreThis place is the absolute best. You cannot go wrong here. Literally every single thing on the menu is fantastic. The pork chops are life changing. The pasta is out of this world. The meatballs are easily the best in the city, and in fact, one of the best I've ever had, Italy included.
The service... They make you feel like you're coming home. This restaurant has a lot of heart and it really comes through in every interaction. Additionally, they have a very nice outdoor seating area, a great bar, and clean bathrooms, which is always really nice.
Two brothers from Italy started the restaurant, and the recipe book has remained unchanged since then. They do specials, which are always fantastic, but the backbone of the menu is unchanged, old school, and out of this world... Hence the phenomenal meatballs.
Coming here, you really feel the love. From the food, to the service, everything is a cut above the rest. Stop by, try a meatball or whatever else you heart desires. You won't regret it.
Pictured below are the lobster ravioli (top) and the seafood in vodka sauce over black pasta (bottom, I forgot the name on the menu, it's a special)
Stop whatever you're doing. Go here. Eat some really good...
Read moreI had high hopes going into this restaurant, but was let done moments after entering. My husband had reservations for the two of us and my mother for Valentine's day and after reading the reviews we were happy to try it. Unfortunately, the waitor directed us up some steps even after seeing that my mother had a cane and would not be able to walk up without a lot of assistance. We noticed an open table in the main room, and pointed it out since the steps would be too hard for my mom, but the waitor aggressively insisted we take the steps into the other room. I was ready to leave based off the insensitivity of the man, but then the manager let us sit at the table we mentioned, as the waitor complained that the table was for five and we only had three. The restaurant was by no means busy, since we had an early reservation, so we did not understand why he was being so difficult. He barely checked up on our table through out the night and the food was drowning in a ground beef sauce. The gnocci was slimy n gooey. Aside from the decor, and the kind valet, I wouldn't have anything nice to say about this restaurant. Would not recommend at all. Try...
