Izakaya Yume — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

Hard to find if you weren't expecting it to be inside a grocery store. I went at noon, so it was packed but not a terrible wait to get the food. Still pushing it if on a timed lunch. Very surprised by how clean and efficient everything was once inside though.

I ordered their lunch box(B13) and crunchy dragon roll(B37). Pricey but it filled me up well. If you don't know a lot about sushi, the lunch has a roll, 4 individual pieces and a salad. The individual pieces has a punch of wasabi I wasnt expecting. Roll was typical, fresh rice and crisp veggies. For the specialty roll, it was definitely more of a meaty or heavier type of roll. Good for a picky eater though. Of course, if you have never had a Royal Milk Tea I LOVE them. Very sweet, but clean milk tea for a canned one.

It's no high end sushi but it was pretty good overall. Meat, rice and veggies fresh and textured well. Everything looked clean from the counter. Locals...

Stop by after shopping at H-Mart to grab a quick bite. Customer service was amazing! The lady was super patient and nice. I have a shrimp allergy and she made sure to alert the cooks.

I ended up buying some onigiri from over there as well as a sushi burrito. Sushi burrito was absolutely delicious and definitely worth the price. Currently the best sushi burrito I've had in Chicago. Find the onigiri from their restaurant versus in the store does benefit because they can actually heat it up for a little bit if you want to eat it while you walk or drive. Onigiri has a good rice to protein ratio and I have never had any issue with the onagiri spot from the stall or from inside H-Mart. I've been getting them for a little over 2 years now and the quality is still on point and the price is great.

Will definitely be back to try other options like their ramen...

GROSS. I got the chicken teriyaki for $15.83. They serve the hardest, nastiest, driest chicken possible. I'm usually easy to please, this was insane. I can't not say something, this has been bothering me for days how bogus this meal was. It was expensive and a super small amount of food. It was so disappointing, it was like eating erasers covered in simple syrup. The teriyaki sauce sucked. I felt so so ripped off. The service was also bad.
