Breakfast: If you are a fan of Avocado toast, they do a decent one if it could be a dollar or two cheaper to really feel priced right, otherwise the breakfast options feel limited. That being said, the LT Three Way and Breakfast sandwhiches are also solid choices! Lunch: The fish & chips taste good (though I'd say the actual chips are better than their fries!) The New England Shrimp Roll has some great flavor as does the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Both the burgers are pretty solid options. The rest of the sandwiches feel as if they're just a bit too skimpy/unoriginal for the price points. Still, plenty of great options! Appetizers: These are all pretty great! (Wings/trio especially.) From a couple company outings to meeting up with friends I think I've had most of them at this point. Perfect to get a few and share with friends over drinks. Drinks: You're in the loop, expect them to be overpriced but if you go on the days they have specials it isn't that bad. (Mondays are for Old Fashioneds and Wednesdays are for whiskey. Just throwing that out there!)
There is also a great outdoor area that is decent sized for company outings or for being able to get quite a few people seated out when there is beautiful weather.
Note: I've usually been here for picking up food, lunch and/or early snacks after work and not during dinner. During those two time-frames I have not experienced slow or rude service as I've seen in a few other reviews. Not sure if that was a breakfast/dinner situation or from someone who no longer works at LT. Either way, I've had good...
Read moreThe last couple of times (including just this morning) I went there, I have not been pleased with what should be a basic food item to make. I ordered the biscuit, sharp cheddar, fried egg with bacon 'Not Toast' item that I usually order from Little Toasted when I go there. When I first ordered this some time last year, I absolutely loved the open-faced sandwich that was delicious. I noticed, unfortunately, that over time the quality of this item has deteriorated. I mentioned it to the staff there before (around Dec 2017) and hadn't been back there again until today, 7/20/18. The biscuit was dry and tasted as if it was a leftover from the day before, as did the bacon. There was a glob of cheddar cheese on one side of the biscuit (probably to try and disguise the old biscuit) whereas earlier on, the cheese was better integrated with the bacon and egg. Anyway, total disappointment yet again. Such a shame when the people working at restaurants don't seem to care and the quality of the food suffers---as eventually, does the restaurant....
Read moreI loved hanging out here. It has a great view of the city and there is a great outdoor seating area. I didn't get to sit out there due to it being April in Chicago. Lol my sister and I ate here for lunch on a Friday. Chicago is a little empty right now because of covid I assume, so there weren't many people there. I had a blta and it was really good but the bacon was undercooked. I had scotch and soda with Glenlivet and another with a smokey whiskey called LA Croix, I think. They were both delicious. My sister had the fish and chips. I tasted it and it was so delicious and tasted very fresh. I would love to go back next time I'm in Chicago. I should also note that it was a little hard to find. Its inside of a bigger building. Inside the lobby it had a sign saying private property, do not pass. So after some debate we threw caution to the wind and passed. Lol it...
