I took my daughter here this past weekend, the service was really good, they have indoor and outdoor seating and a bar area, the outdoor seating has a some tables with umbrellas and some without, they have a menu with regular drinks and alcoholic drinks, we had a pizza, you can order one of the premade specialty pizzas or build your own, we ended up building a regular sausage and pepperoni, the pizza is brick oven style and the crust is really thin, a little too thin and floppy, the sausage was crumbly and wasn't that flavorful but overall the pizza was ok, I'd say it was a 12 inch but my daughter ate most of it, the main thing we came for was the taco ice cream which was a hit, just like the pizza, they have premade specialty ones or you can build your own, we went with two premade ones but they give you a ton of options down to what kind of waffle "shell" you want, it was stuffed and I mean stuffed with ice cream and topping, my daughter had a strawberry themed one with fresh strawberries and I had a chocolate themed one with ferrer rochea, they were both amazing, the weather was nice so we ate outside and the service was super fast, and professional, they made sure we enjoyed everything, I'd say be open to try some of the other menu items as they have a big selection for brunch and dinner, well definitely...
Read moreThis is good bar Pizza. The food other than Pizza is limited, as this is a PIZZA Bar. :) The crust is chewy and crunchy like East Coast Style, not Chicago Tavern Style. The toppings are applied judiciously and the spicy tomato sauce is the way to go.
The one problem I have is that some of the Veggie topping Pizzas are weird. Like the one that has Arugula, is just a regular pizza but with fresh Arugula piled on top of it. When it comes to the table it looks like a deconstructed salad bowl! How are you supposed to eat this stuff? I just eat the Arugula as a salad, and then consume the Pizza separately. If you do this, remember eat the salad AFTER eating the Pizza. This is thin crust that cools quite fast and cold pizza is not as tasty!! :)
But to be honest, if you are in the West Loop you get better Pizza at Forno Rosso and in Wicker Park, Craft Pizza is better. But Parlor is a better ambiance if you want to go with friends, drink beer and watch the game.
They also have a new place in River North, and if the prices for the Pizza are same as the other two places; then it is a STEAL. The Pizza places in River North like Quartino, Madia, Pizzeria Via Stato etc are overpriced for what they offer. FYI
Edited to add: And the other places in River North are not as good a Pizza...
Read moreIt's St.Paddys day celebrations until 12 pm, my friends and myself get a table at Parlor Pizza Bar Wicker Park (on Division) amongst 8 of us and spent $900. They wanted to clear a specific section of tables but we were still drinking the drinks from the package we had paid for. Also the tables around us were empty. All of a sudden it escalated to 'you guys are intoxicated and must leave now'. Completely an unreasonable response just because they wanted to clear that one specific table. We were not unruly, we kept to ourselves and were just enjoying our st paddy's day (ps. We are mid 30s parents with babies at home. We hired nannies to enjoy this day). This bar is not a place to go for a package deal, they will use any means to kick you out once you've paid your money to get new money in the door, won't be going here any time soon. And extremely disappointed that the management staff would treat any patrons this way. Our server and bussers were nothing short of amazing. And we appreciate their amazing hospitality. Clearly. It was not from their leadership. They led without example. You could have done better. Nudge Perera Julie Capron Roger Wakeman Victoria Pohlid...
