I ordered the Thursday special which says thin crust pizza and was given a regular one. When I asked about the thin crust I was told that I needed to specifically order thin crust even though the special specifically stated it was for a 16 inch thin crust pizza. When I asked about this I was told that the name of the special is “thin crust pizza” not that you get thin crust pizza. They said you get a regular crust pizza when you order the thin crust pizza special. Therefore I had to pay another $20 in order to get another pizza so that it could be thin crust. My receipt literally says the same thing twice and one pizza is actually thin crust after they made the other pizza. Needless to say as a new person to the area I don’t know if I will be returning and I had high hopes for this place.

Ordered for lunch our usual order half veggie and half Hawaiian pizza. The pizza came in with half veggie pizza on top Hawaiian pizza (same side of the pizza) the other half just cheese. Called to let them know my order was wrong and the same lady who took the order said that’s the way I ordered (super rude). I tried to call again to speak with a manager and she answered the phone acting like a manager and giving a different name, continue to argue that’s how I ordered the pizza. Potential customers be aware very poor customer service.

Asked for deep dish when I called she kept repeating pan I said deep dish, they gave me pan pizza, n then said 25%off on all pizzawell she lied about there price but the manager gave me free fries to try to say sorry. when we got home we called about the incorrect pizza! they were arguing saying that a deep dish pizza is pan pizza.…no its not. We in Chicago u should know what it is when someone asking for a deep dish pizza not pan

Hello virtual community.

I tried a pizza, from Pizza Nova, over this weekend. My work takes me away from Pilsen so when I'm home, I like to enjoy the flavors of the neighborhood I grew up in. I ordered the Nova Special and added fresh garlic. Personally, I love fresh, roasted garlic and eat it almost everyday. I didn't feel like cooking and decided to let someone else do it for me.

After picking it up, I ate a slice. It went down well as it was hot and fresh. After I took a bite of the second slice, I was left wondering where the garlic was. After eating the second slice, I took apart the third slice in search of some semblance of garlic. Nothing. I should mention that the pizza, as built, was good.

It was already after 9pm and I didn't feel like going back out so I called the restaurant. I spoke to the same, pleasant young lady that took my order. I mentioned that I ordered fresh garlic, just as it said on their menu, and paid for it but didn't get it. She put me on hold, only to return after twenty or so seconds. She claimed that there was garlic on the pizza as confirmed by the manager. I asked what kind of garlic they used: dehydrated/powdered? She said that it was garlic out of a jar and that it was in the pizza sauce.

I realized then, why I haven't spent any money at this place in ten years. They do business by selling great quantities of their food. They do that well. I'm wrong for asking for clarification on what they meant by "fresh garlic."

I thought they took apart a head of garlic, then crushed/sliced it and put some of it on a pie. That would be a clear and direct application of fresh garlic. I, the consumer, entered into agreement with this establishment to exchange my money for some of that on my pizza. I paid for my pizza, the garlic I didn't receive and I even tipped.

I think this is my last time at Pizza Nova. It's sad because some of my childhood friends worked there and it was a hub at which we gathered....

Pizza nova has failed to adapt with modern times their newest improvement is flipping the soda machine soo you dont have to ask for a refill. The place has looked the same since i was like 6 years old and I'm in my 20s now. The kids that are on the walls arent even eating pizza nova pizza because if they were they wouldnt have a smile on their face. Nothing about their pizza is special cheap ingredients without any inspiration pizza nova used to have its niche for being tasty when fresh but it seems like everytime you go they just want to rip you off. With their 5 dollar minimum with card and sometimes their machine dosent even work. PROBABLY THE WORST THING ABOUT PIZZA nova is they're soo cheap they will purposely hide fresh slices from you. I once asked when the new slices will come in and she said oh we only make new slices when the old ones are done. And i said what? Cmon for real let me know when they're coming out and she said im sorry my boss dosent want to give you guys the fresh slices. And eventually US THE CUSTOMERS force him to come out with a whole fresh pizza wrapped in some sort of plastic. That he was hiding because he wanted the old disgusting dry pizza to be eaten first. If its not that that cashier will just lie to you're face and say the old slices are fresh. The rest of the food is just ok classic greasey american food. Pizza nova is plain and mediocre with minimum effort and uninspired just like its interior and exterior. its only there to make money without any integrity or passion or creativity its literally definition of the word "MEH" and then you cough because the cashier girl lied and threw in one of the old dry slices that probably sat there for a good 3 hours. If you read this pizza nova stop hiding you're damn slices or tell the manager something that was...

Today was the worst experience at this Pizza Nova! I called to make a pick up order and I called back to change it as delivery. The first girl I talked to in the phone kept telling please hold like 3 times for almost 4min long. I felt like I wasn't even calling a pizza place, it felt like I was calling a hospital or clinic ! Like seriously having a customer wait that long just to change the order to delivery! And the worst part was that we kept repeating our address and phone number to the girl because she wouldn't understand the numbers we were telling them. They hang up on us and we called back to cancel the order because this was ridiculous! The girl kept tellling us please hold and this other girl answer and was acting slow too, she asks us if we speak Spanish? Really? What makes the difference if she is talking to us in English? She told us the order was canceled, but apparently the driver still came to deliver the order and I told him we cancelled it right away! So he got mad 😡 That wasn't my fault. So they called me from pizza nova saying they would no longer deliver to our place no more!!! Really? I guess customers don't come first? I been ordering from this place my entire life! I guess they lost another customer. & I still have the phone calls...
