We came out to celebrate my husbands birthday and we got the the Red chilaquiles with steak, and they were delicious! For my toddler I got him the mixed fruit pancakes and the sauce that it comes with was also amazing! 10/10!
Unfortunately we had a very inconvenient event happen. Long story short we paid and we left and we were strapping my toddler into his car seat when we see the waiter running after us. She informed us that the payment didn’t go through. By this time I felt so embarrassed. The people in the restaurant and the workers they probably thought that we dined and dash. Without hesitation I told her here run it again and went through. My husband asked “did you even check if they charged you?” And I was like no, and when I checked there was 2 charges of $107. I went back to restaurant to make them aware of the situation and also get a refund. I later met the manager on call and she was already aware of the situation and proceeded to tell me that she can’t give a refund and that I would have to wait till the end of the day and that they would call. I later told them well you guys need my number and my name or else how are you guys going to contact me? And I asked Can I get the number because my phone will silence unknown calls. She said “umm i don’t know it. it’s the restaurant one. It’s online.” Didn’t get a single apology.
I called back because I just wanted to deal with it at the moment instead of prolonging the situation. Still no apology until I spoke to someone higher in management. And told I had called my bank, they confirmed two charges were made. I again asked Can I get my refund? Again he said that the way their system works they can’t but will give me a call by the end of the day to let me know what happened. He was very apologetic and even mentioned “I know it was your first time and invited us to go once again and hook us up so we can have a better experience. And it’s the next day and still no call. Had to call my bank to go forward with disputing the chargers. But I don’t even know how comfortable I would feel going back because of the whole situation. Sucks because I actually enjoyed the the food and had plans to have brunch with my friends since the waiter said that they are now serving mimosas.
Fyi the server we had was so nice and very welcoming we even chatted for a bit. But just how the restaurant dealt with the situation and not even an apology was disappointing. It seemed like I was more of a...

Read moreI heard great things about this place and it being in the neighborhood that I grew up in I am all about supporting local businesses. Pochos unfortunately was a bad experience from the beginning. There is no host stand or dedicated person to greeting you and taking your name down. I went on Sunday around noon, so it is expected to be busy but it was awkward walking in and not know who to speak with or where to go. When we finally sat down, it was at a communal table which I thought was a cool idea, but the stools that they have are very uncomfortable. My mom’s didn’t even have a back part to her stool so it was just very uncomfortable to sit for the duration of our brunch as if we were at a bar. When we finally got our food, it was either too salty or not what was expected. The chilaquiles were basically just tortilla chips where the top 4 or 5 chips had green salsa that made them soggy. We had to ask for extra sauce but even then those were NOT chilaquiles. The meat from the steak skillet and the sausages from the egg breakfast were super salty. The potatoes were pretty delicious. The service was okay, the servers seem very stiff and one of them even spilled super hot coffee on my mom - we both work in the service industry so we just brushed it off because we know what it’s like to be in their shoes but the server did not handle it well and froze up. Overall the experience and food just were not the best and I hope that with time the place will...
