I really dont leave this kind of review but its been 3 times that i have not been treated fairly at this location.I noticed that because I am an asian person they treat me a certain way and I can feel it or maybe its just me.I will give the 3 scenarios that happened to me at this location.I also know the employees names but i am not putting it here for their sake.I have given this place 3 strikes and Im not coming back.I rather go to orland park or glenview costco. The employees there are much nicer.
One time I was returning a shirt at this location. There is an entrance by the exit to go directly to the return counter. Before I even got in,a black guy who checks for my receipt for people who’s going out check my receipt.I honestly did not mind it at all,but he said to my face,”I need to make sure you didn’t stole it.” I was shocked and did not say anything to him, but I gave him a look like how could he judge me for what I look like and assumed I would steal something that I am about to return. The reason why I said that because there was another lady behind me who was returning something and he did not check that person at all and another guy. After buying things, when I came back out,he avoided me to check my receipt and the other person check my receipt. I told the other person please double check. I dont want to get accused of stealing anything.
I bought hotdog at the food court during rush hour.Lots of people waiting for their food including me.Since I know its going to take some time,I went to the restroom. When I came back, I went to the side and I just wanted to know if my number could possibly been called so I politely ask the black lady, “ What was the last number got called?”she looked really pissed and yelled at me.”Move away and wait for your number to get called!”everybody looked at me.It was very embarrassing.I didn't say anything back to her.I just went to the side. I think she may have been having a bad day because she was giving everyone attitude. She was slamming things and covering her face. She even put her nametag backwards after yelling at me. I get it. It gets overwhelming and busy sometimes but thats not the right way to respond to a simple question. She could easily ask be back what’s my number and then she can tell me that she hasn’t called it yet or if she already did.
I made an appointment online to do a balancing and tire rotation for 6:15 PM and I got there at 6:06 PM. The Hispanic guy ask me where is my wheel lock located. I told him it’s in the cupholder and I saw him put it on the notes on the computer that it’s located on my cupholder. Almost an hour pass, 6:53pm I got a call from the tire center asking me, where is the wheel lock. I told him it’s in the cupholder. at 7:01 I got a call again and wasn’t able to answer so I went to the tire center counter. I asked if my car was done because I got a call and it doesn't take an hour to do the job. He said it’s not. I asked him if I could wait outside for it. He said yes. I was very disappointed because I went outside to look at my car and the tires are out and the guys were just talking and laughing. My car is lifted already buy they didn’t even have my tires rotated yet. a hispanic guy asked me why I was standing outside close by the tire inflator in the parking lot. I responded to him that I’m looking right straight to my car and you guys are not working on it. They then started working on it. My car got finished At 7:47pm and that was really disappointing. They didn’t care about my car at all until I went out and was just looking at it. It wasn’t even that busy. I was ahead of other cars. I felt like they did my car last, even though it was the easiest job to do. It doesn’t take almost 2 hours to balance and rotate tires. He then drove my car to me and didn't even care, just left like nothing.
COSTCO DO BETTER!! that was unacceptable! I hope you treat your customer fairly and train your employees to be nicer. honestly, i noticed that at this location, some employees tend...
Read moreBeing a member from a different location, I read the reviews posted to this location and I understand why this location is so bad. As far as customer service goes, I have to say that I was very disappointed. This review in no way involves the Eye Doctors office, which is an independent provider. I want to make sure they get the best review on a later post. The Optical department at this location is one of the most unprofessional establishments I've ever encountered. Please understand that being my first time being seen by this department. Therefore I was unaware of the fact that being seen by the Optometrist, I would be predisposed to see the Optical department. There I came across a very prejudicial clerical worker. As soon as I approached her, with a "Good morning!" She abruptly withdrew from even acknowledging anything I had to say. Her tone was not only condescending, but she was very inappropriate. As if I was there to ruin her day, she shrugged me away by not saying anything and walking away. When I was admitted by the Doctors office, (Sunshine) who were very cordial and professional. I thought to myself how unfortunate it is to have such incompetent employees front and center taking care of patients coming in. I mean, isn't this an essential part of customer service? Well not here and especially not with Mirella. Who I asked for assistance several times & refused to do so. I am not sure why, maybe she felt the need to be done with me when I had just arrived to my appointment. Either way, I want her to know that thanks to her I will not be going back & I will definitely NOT be recommending to any of my colleagues or associates about this location. As a reminder, check the reviews before being racially profiled by a person who obviously does not enjoy being there. Don't waste your time or your money. It's just very unpleasant to deal with such negative, ugly manners. Enjoy your Holiday and go...
Read moreSelection was great & most of the staff was kind & helpful. I came in to do two delivery, orders & shop for a few items for myself. I pulled my shoulder & have been in pain for a few days. I was trying to let the cashier, an older, foreign woman know that I had different orders. I had the order separated, & all the barcodes flipped up so they would be able to scan it easily. She cut me off while talking & began to scold me for not putting the items on the register. I was trying to let her know that I had an injury. Just because a person looks “able” does not mean they are not disabled or injured. I struggled to put the case of water in the cart for the order. I did it quick to not feel as much pain. I did get upset with her & said a few words. That was inappropriate. & cutting someone off to scold them is inappropriate as well. The transaction ended better when I went to another line & the other cashier helped me. She let me know that the items do have to be put on the belt next time. I appreciated her understanding that I did this for a reason & not just giving me a hard time because I couldn’t follow a rule due to having an injury. It is disappointing when you try to handle things appropriately & someone is rushing you, rude & won’t listen to a brief conversation to make the...
