I don't know where to begin.... First time ever at a Raising Cane's and will not be back.. At least not to this location. This location is poorly designed, to put it mildly. There is no way to order your food inside. That is not obvious when you get there. In fact, we watched no less than 12 people walk inside, look confused, look around and then walk out. Some figured out you had to order outside. Others verbally compared this to a different Cane's location and got in their car and drove away. It almost appeared the inside is not open for business even though it is. We ordered our food outside, then went inside to sit and never knew when our food was ready. I had to go back outside to the order area to get our food. Later, there were order announcements over the speaker system, but not for us. Once back inside eating, it was hot. It was an 80 degree day outside and pretty much the same inside. No air conditioner vents, one ceiling fan, and a few open windows. Surprisingly, they have heat lamps on the ceiling, so I guess this place is built for winter not summer? No washrooms either. Customer service was iffy. The cashier didn't really explain things properly, in terms of the ordering / sitting process. Another Cane's worker in the seating area was cleaning some tables and since there was a giant disco ball hanging over our head, I asked her why. She didn't seem to want to explain it and pointed to the wall where apparently there is an explanation. Of course we were too far away to read the wall. Not sure why she couldn't just explain it in a couple of sentences... Again, poor customer service. The food itself was decent even though it took 15 minutes to get the order for two people during a non-crowded time. There were no sauce choices other than the house sauce. Maybe that's normal, but a few other choices would have been ideal. To sum up.... Not sure who decided to build this location like this, but it's a poorly thought out, goofy plan. Workers need to understand it's a goofy setup and should be trained to explain the ordering process to the customers. They also need to be trained on how to be...
Read moreI have no problem with the food, I fact I’ve been back more times than I’d like to admit since they’ve been open. What compelled me to write this review wasn’t the food or the service , but the god awful layout of the entire restaurant and its associated drive ways.
First of all , it’s incomprehensible that there is no ordering counter INSIDE of the restaurant! This isn’t Phoenix Arizona , this is the Midwest where we frequently have hostile weather, who the hell commissioned a restaurant with no indoor ordering ?
Lastly the lot layout is a mess , cramped and confusing. Drivers often enter through the wrong side on clinton which faces against the intended flow of cars from Taylor street.
I’m not sure what can be done about this as the structure is already built, but please fire the architect and design team of this particular canes.
Exceptional staff , great food...
Read moreThe food is ok. The service is fair. The young people working there were friendly; but the set up makes it difficult to be efficient. I ordered my food to eat in, but nobody brought it to me. I had to step all the way back outside the restaurant to get my food. There is no service window, drink machine, condiment station or anything inside of this enclosed picnic pavilion of a dining room. I seem to recall there being sauces other than Cane's sauce at other restaurants. I could be wrong. It's been years since I went to one, but nothing but Cane's , ketchup and nasty old Louisiana brand hot sauce.
The food was ok, but nothing special. It was cooked to order and nice and hot.
Not an inviting place if you want to dine in. In fact, it seems specifically disigned to discourage dining in. I may or may not go back. Or, wait until I get to a...
