I was there today and the blonde worker who wears a facemask at checkout was extremely racist to my Hispanic wife. She asked if she was ready to check out and my wife responded in English. The blonde worker stated she couldn't hear her so when my wife repeated, she said to speak in English because she doesn't speak Spanish. My wife ignored her while waiting for an open self check out and the blonde worker continued to berate her saying if she needs someone to speak Spanish she can't help her and she needs to find someone who speaks "her language". My wife ended up being checked out by another nice employee there who even seemed to notice the coworker giving a bad attitude.
I will be contacting BBB to report this business for racism and discrimination. They allow a racist employee to work there and be vocal about her disgusting racist beliefs which creates an unsafe environment. Not only that but this employee can speak her racist mind, attacking customers with vile remarks and no one bats an eye. Five below tends to have pleasant employees but due to the situation and racism I am going directly to BBB.
You can read recent reviews and notice that many customers are talking about this employee. That's why BBB needs to be involved because this five below store doesn't care.

Read moreAlthough most of the employees were very kind, the shift lead with curly hair was an entitled jerk with a superiority complex. I had waited in line for 10 minutes at check out (to be expected because of the holiday) and after checking my stuff out, I realized I had forgotten to pay for one thing in my cart. I had literally walked two steps away from the self-checkout I was just at and when I stepped back to try to pay for it (there was no one at the register since I had LITERALLY just stepped off) she told me to go to the back of the line and wait. I told her I had just waited in line but I forgot to pay for something and she rudely told me to go to the back of the line if I wanted to pay for it again. Other customers were even taken aback by her tone and rudeness and someone even told me she was being a jerk since she could’ve just let me finish my transaction.
