Went here for a private event in the patio area hosted by Jagermeister.
This is a cute casual restaurant in the front but has an awesome bar and Patio in the back with bocce ball.
If you're headed to the patio or outdoor yard, enter either through the front of the restaurant or on the left side of the restaurant, there is a door that will lead you straight into the patio.
You will walk past live plants that are planted in rows of gutters mounted on the wall. This is so impressive and an awesome idea that I might want to attempt it in my house.
When you step into the bar area you are greeted by a long bar that is fully stocked with many options .
The patio area is awesome, bright, airy, and fun. Lots of tables and even some stadium seating so that you can watch your friends while they play bocce ball. A perfect place to meet friends for a drink or for brunch.
We had pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, corn that was grilled on the barbecue and some homemade biscuits that tasted out-of-this-world!
Can't wait to come back for...
Read moreStopped into Lou's for some lunch this past Sunday. I had been to Moneygun in the past for a stiff drink and happy-hour hangs, but hadn't actually been to Lou's; I had made a grave mistake by not visiting before. A friend and I were looking for a casual lunch spot around the West Loop, where things can get stuffy in a hurry. This fit the bill perfectly. The ambiance is fantastic, transitioning from an old-school diner in front, to an open and airy back room and adjacent patio. I felt as if I could lounge there for hours. On top of that, the staff was accommodating, quick, and chatty (in a warm, friendly way). I had the patty melt and it was well executed - nice caramelized onions, a juicy patty, and crisp rye bread made it a filling Sunday-Scaries treat. I'll absolutely be back, and I recommend you drop by too, if you're in the need of a laid-back lunch spot - or a bright and airy place to have some craft cocktails and...
Read moreI had no groceries in my fridge, and needed a bite to eat late Saturday night, so we ended up at Sunnygun which is the sister restaurant of Moneygun with cool desert murals and a vibrant patio. They also have happy hour tuesday-friday from 3-5pm so definitely recommend looking into that. Anyways, Had their Early Sunrise Cocktail which tasted like a tart + citrusy juice. They also have food starting at 5pm by a popup called Food by FAFO. we had their French onion dip with ranch chips, and it usually comes with trout roe but they had whitefish roe today which was still smoky and the French onion dip was incredible, by far my favorite dish I tried there that evening. The wings we had here were decent, they had a sweet heat flavor, but the burger here was solid and juicy. the white American cheese and special sauce really went well togother for a surprisingly mild smoky bite. Overall, good vibes and had some good bar...
