River Point Park — Attraction in West Chicago Township

What a BEAUTY! This beautiful red sculpture is called “Constellation” by Spanish engineer Santiago Calatrava ((described at the bottom of the statue stood there was it’s artifacts)). The huge sculpture sit across the River Point riverbank. With its bright vibrant red colors is what caught my eye. I was on my way to the River Point for a quiet afternoon and I ran across this magnificent piece! I had to take a picture! The view was astonishing! As the sun reflects off the Constellation piece it was a perfect sight to see. With its so bright red and amazing view. With the sculpture twisting in and out forming a beautiful leafy spiral it was definitely was noticeable. The view is even more amazing at Dawn!! Amazing subject!...

Just unveiled and opened, the Constellation by sculptor and painter Santiago Calatrava is another example of a Chicago icon, architecture and landmark in the footsteps of The Picasso, Cloud Gate, The Flamingo and others.

I just loved the illusion of the sculpture floating in mid air from some angles - it is just so cool.

So far it is not really crowded - what with Covid, winter and of course it was only recently opened. I am sure it will become another tourist attraction and destination for Chicagoans and...
