What a complete waste of a beautiful rooftop space. I’m sorry but this place deserves the 1 star. Here is what was objectively wrong: Fishy smelling water glasses with floating chunks of something We asked for bottled water, never received The “Fruta Picante” cocktail tower tasted like an unsweetened, watered down spicy margarita. One of the worst cocktails I’ve ever had— just objectively not made correctly Our friend ordered a vodka red bull. That’s 2 ingredients. They watered that down. It was disgusting Our shots were garnished with orange wedges. Mine was soggy almost as if the orange had been juiced before cutting it up or someone had already sucked the juice out of it with their mouth The Caesar salad looked like the romaine had been cut up by a chainsaw. Long strips about 14 inches long, then some almost whole leaves. Salad was also underdressed and croutons were stale. The bread served with ricotta dip was hard as a rock To reserve the cabana there’s a $500 minimum and they hold your credit card, which was lost somehow and the manager had to go locate the credit card
Here’s my person opinion: The plastic silverware is tacky. The finishings are cheap. Metal chairs, sponsored umbrellas The pizza was just okay.. in fact I would go as far to say I really didn’t like it. The white pizza was weirdly too sweet and the pepperoni somehow wasn’t salty enough The music in the bathroom is deafeningly loud and echoey The music overall was all club music circa 2017. If that’s your thing, then by all means They take photos of you and try to sell them to you printed in frames. Personally, I think its a weird touch. Feels like a tourist attraction/ ride.
Here are the positive things: Our back waiter was really attentive and did an awesome job taking care of dirty plates/glassware Our server was really nice (we didn’t see her much though) I liked the meatballs The Negroni...

My recent visit to Tetto was one of the strangest dining experiences I've ever had. What started as a rooftop dinner quickly devolved into a series of odd interruptions that completely ruined the evening.
First, and most bizarrely, a man came up to our table, uninvited, to take photos of us while we were in the middle of a conversation. He directed us to pose and took about 10 photos, then returned a few minutes later trying to sell the photos to us. It was a completely random and unwelcome interruption, and the fact that the restaurant seems to allow this is baffling. We also saw another person walking around selling Italian ice, which made the whole place feel less like a restaurant and more like a carnival.
On top of that, the atmosphere was chaotic. For a Sunday dinner, the place was extremely loud with a DJ and a smoke machine. This wasn't mentioned anywhere online and made it difficult to even have a conversation. The service was also incredibly slow; it took a full 30 minutes just to get a glass of water after we were seated. Asked for a server just to have our own server tell us our server will be right with us, then came back herself later. Felt like I was an annoyance the entire time to the entire staff. They should switch to self ordering and checkout to avoid this entire mess. Place also has automatic 20% gratuity built in that no one calls out. The food was also extremely mediocre. My soda was flat when it came out.
Overall, the entire experience was just weird and annoying. I’ve never even seen this happen at any establishment, abroad or domestic. Honestly terrible and ruined what was supposed to be a nice meal. The unprofessional atmosphere and constant interruptions made it impossible to enjoy our time. I definitely will not...
Read moreI wanted to share my experience at Tetto, this rooftop spot in Chicago. I visited on a Wednesday at 4pm. It was one of those beautiful sunny days, and I headed up there to meet with friends. The place was clean and comfy, creating just the right atmosphere. Our server was totally on the ball, taking great care of us and making us feel welcome. Security when you first walk in was also welcoming and kind. Now, I'm not much of a drinker, but they had these alcohol-free beers and beverages, which was a nice touch. One of my friends went for the non-alcoholic beer, while I ordered a Mocktail. Although, I've got to say, it could've used a little more flair – it basically looked like juice in a glass. But hey, the taste was on point, so no complaints there. The others ordered regular drinks and seemed to enjoy them. Let's talk pizza. My friends went for the pepperoni pizza, and I opted for a classic cheese slice. What I liked was that they offered pizza by the slice, so no need to cause any inconvenience for the pepperoni lovers. The place had a cool vibe with artsy paintings on the walls and a well-stocked bar. And guess what? We lucked out because we caught some planes passing by practicing for an air and water show (I’m assuming) – a pretty awesome bonus! If you're looking for a recommendation, I'd say give Tetto a shot on a clear day. It's got this laid-back vibe that kind of transports you out of the city. Perfect for hanging out with friends, grabbing a bite, and enjoying...
