We ate 8/6/21 at a time when the lunch menu prices were almost over. The idea was to get a deal with light traffic and a quiet setting.
Our greeter: Didn't bother asking if anyone else would be joining us, never bothered to inquire on our day and didn't thank us for choosing to assist in her paycheck. No smiles no hello. The duration of our meal she never smiled. Small entryway.
Table and floors: The greeter left after walking us to a mess of a table. Soaking wet table I had to find napkins nearby to dry off the table to even think of sitting down. The plastic scan menu was disgustingly dirty. I requested a paper menu. Walking on the floors was like walking on tape. Very sticky very loud when lifting your shoes from the substrate on the floor.
Cooks: Very loud!
Mongolian beef: Just beef and green onions Beef was very fatty and the green onion were 2 inch cuts and very large in diameter. Bulky. Little sauce and flavorless. Came with a small pitcher or container of soy sauce, of which it could've been hog piss, the server never explained.
White rice in bowl: So under cooked. MRE rice was better!
Chang's spicy chicken over white rice: Very dry meat, little sauce as it disappeared in the undercooked rice. Little spice and almost no vegetables. 16 pieces of meat.
Egg rolls: Unsure what meat used, maybe pork. Colorless inside, could've used bright vegetables, bad display of any egg roll. Dipping sauce had light flavor. Looked like mustard.
Wontons: Good sized yet zero flavor. The sauce was already poured over the wontons. I like options.
Waters and a Coke. Passable and glasses clean, silverware was not shiny it had a dull coat on it. No napkins until we requested them. No salt no pepper offered.
Server: Lots of smiles little memory, very nice in attire and good hygiene. Forgot our straws after asking twice. Took our plates once, only dropped off small paper menu for dessert with no recommendations or explanations of what it was? Looked like the bill. Never got our bill, had to walk to the register to get our bill. No greeter to take our bill, some other server took our payment. Until the greeter showed.
Desert: No, no comment.
Estimated bill $50.00 + $5.00 tip
Open atmosphere, medium lighting, spacious seating.
Restrooms: Never used, no comment.
Parking: We walked from the mall.
Outside area: Clean walks, no trash no cracked concrete environment peaceful.
As normal in our marriage we like to try each other's food and try new foods as well, if the moment is right. Trying each others meal this time was experienced.
Suggest to friends: No. I will suggest to avoid. Loss: Estimated 450 family, friends Co-worker and...

We visited the location in West Des Moines tonight and the service and food was very good. No complaints there. However, we explicitly stated we needed Gluten Free food as one of us deals with severe gluten allergies. The food was brought out by a manager and on a separate plate but before we even left the parking lot my partner was incredibly sick. Everything we ordered for the table was GF in an effort to avoid this situation and I do feel the front of house made an effort to include GF handling with our food but it was clear almost immediately the cooks in back did not take it as seriously. As a result we spent the remainder of the night sick and throwing up. I feel the kitchen should be informed they need to take these sorts of things a little more serious when presented with them. Thank you.
Update
About a month ago I sent a review in to corporate regarding this location serving our table gluten food when we requested all gluten free options. About 2 days later I was reached out to by Anastasia Dubose regarding the incident and she was very apologetic. She offered us a refund if we were to go to the location and get it which we did. She also requested we come back and give this location another try and despite our nervousness we decided to tonight, however we opted not to request a free meal as we felt the refund was sufficient for a mistake. At the end of tonight’s meal Anastasia came out and informed us that even though we once again requested all GF at our table we were served gluten. She was very apologetic and offered to cover the meal and gave us gift cards. However, at this point and multiple underwhelming experiences ending in my girlfriend spending her evening throwing up and sick we have decided to not go back. We understand that things happen but at this point it is a trend and in addition to her being glutened we also observed multiple points of concern such as a waitress (not ours) being more concerned with her boyfriend than the table she was working and a food runner (again not our particular waitress) smelling pretty bad of weed. It’s this lack of attention and attitude that I believe has led to multiple incidents in us ending our evenings short and in my opinion is inexcusable. We understand restaurants do not have an obligation to cater to our dietary needs but if you are going to advertise these restrictions they need to be taken much...

I recently visited P.F. Chang’s and had a very disappointing experience that left me questioning whether I’ll return to what used to be one of our go-to restaurants. We ordered the vegetarian lettuce wraps, but they tasted noticeably different from what we usually get. Naturally, we wanted to confirm whether they were truly vegetarian, especially because we have dietary restrictions and allergies.
Unfortunately, the server was nowhere to be found when the food arrived. When we were finally able to ask, the server reacted rudely and got visibly upset about verifying our order with the chef. She abruptly took the dish away and came back saying it was vegetarian—but her tone and attitude were unprofessional and disrespectful.
What made it worse was that this wasn’t the first time we had a bad experience with the same server. I even had to tell her directly that her behavior was unacceptable and felt biased. After that, she completely ignored our table—no follow-up, no checking if we needed anything, and we had to ask others for basic things like silverware, plates, and napkins.
Eventually, someone else brought out a new order of lettuce wraps (which we didn’t ask for), but by that time, the experience had already been ruined, and we didn’t even eat them.
It’s incredibly disappointing to be treated this way, especially when all we did was ask a reasonable question about our food. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and basic customer service and courtesy should be a priority for any restaurant.
I would be more than willing to have a call with the owner or manager to discuss this issue, as this experience genuinely hurt our feelings. Being treated with disrespect—especially a second time—was not something we ever expected. We never thought we’d have to write a review like this, but today’s behavior left us feeling truly disrespected and upset.
I am attaching a copy of our bill as well...
