Pros: Great location Plenty of parking
Cons: Slow service Food arrived cold All food did not arrive at the same time Clearly 'issues' between wait staff and one bar tender
Very disappointed... We arrived at around 5:30 on February 4th hoping to sit at a Hibachi Table but we were told they were all full but that didn't seem to be the case looking in the restaurant. Either way we sat at the bar and ordered habachi from the menu. We ordered 3 meals, for three people. After quite sometime the first two came out cold and third did not show at that time. After mentioning it to the bartender she took our cold dishes back and had them reheated. Another employee behind us overheard us mentioning the food was cold and under her breath said something about the food sitting in the back for a period of time. A short time later the two cold dishes came back slightly warmer with the third dish in tow. The bartender asked how our food was the second time, we gave her a short answer ''eh'. The two reheated meals were well done at this point, the steak was tough and the rice was mush and not what I call fried rice, very disappointing for a 18 and 22 dollar meal.
While seated at the bar it was easy to notice the wait staff hating on the bartender. The entire staff seemed to have problem after problem with her and the drink orders not being filled. She seemed to have an attitude from the get go. Drinks were slow to be refilled while we sat at the bar, she was rather demanding and rude to the wait staff and other employees.
In the end the bartender offer to take 15 dollars off our bill, that was the best she could do without getting in trouble. Not wanting to make a big deal Infront of other paying guest we paid the bill and left very disappointed. The 15 dollar discount was far from fair based on our experience.
The owners need to know about this disappointing experience, and lack of professionalism with the staff and poor food...
Read moreCame here for my birthday dinner, originally was going to review 2/3 stars but after a day if I could rate less than 1 I would. It was nice inside except for some old peeling chairs and lots of plain wall but other than that was super great! Sadly our night started with our waitress coming over and said (to my fiancee) that she looked tired, she nicely said yes though she was excited to be there. The waitress then went on for a 5 minute rant about how much more tired she was and how she hates working so much, and then proceeds to laugh at me when I ordered a 'ramune' because most people just say Japanese soda, she then hands us our EXTREMELY watery salads, I'm talking about half a cup of water in the bottom of this bowl. Shortly after a couple was seated next to us, we were excited to meet them, they were more excited about their cellphones and filming my family and I while laughing and saying all people in the military have PTSD and are crazy (Both my parents are vets and my mother unfortunate was there to hear that comment.) But hey, the restaurant cannot stop them from saying what they thing, so we went on to the night where the incredibly amazing chef preformed for us and the bartender talked with us and played games, and apart from the overcooked and tough chicken everything was so delicious!! Then came the horror. I, as a grown woman never imagined myself having diarrhea in a bag in my car as Magic, from Pilot played in the background in middle of a closed down gas station's parking lot, but last night... it happened. Thankfully my Fiancee could laugh it off as she waited for me to drive by the next available bathroom, but if you value your internal organs not trying to come out of every orifice don't come here....
Read moreIncredibly Frustrated. We’ve been eating here for over 10 years and have stayed loyal customers through Covid, and then price raises, understanding that that’s kind of the way of the world, but when a MANDATORY tip for a party of FIVE especially when one of those 5 is a toddler is RIDICULOUS. Eight people is the standard, and I could even understand for six in some circumstances, but Five is highway robbery.
Everyone ate and as we waited and waited for a check the kids got feisty so they finally went to the car and I stood up next to our table and waited some more for our check. No waiter in sight I went and walked over to the sushi bar to ask for a takeout box for our leftover roll. Still no waiter so I walk to the register behind the bar and ask a different waiter if I could please check out. Only to discover that this invisible waiter gets $18. We have always tipped well, but it’s always been a CHOICE. While our water was refilled, and the soup was hot, the food was merely warm when it came out and I had to hunt down service to even be able to pay. I literally walked from the back of the restaurant towards the bar at the front and someone yelled “thanks for coming”. I could have just walked out without paying. That’s terrible service and clearly indicates a need for further training.
We will never be coming back. Things have been deteriorating over the years anyway. Just sad because this used to be one of our favorite...
