I know there is a stigma with this place and it's predecessor. I went in giving it an open kind. Upon entry I was promptly greeted by two young lovely ladies. I requested a short table, which they don't have. It is all high top tables and both and as a large man neither is comfortable. They need to sell half the tables and get short tables and chairs. I was seated at a very uncomfortable booth/table hybrid. Our waitress was Emily and she was phenomenal, service was top-notch. If I owned a restaurant I would have hired her on the spot. Friendly, knew the menu and when my wife asked if they had any Special Christmas Cocktail list she immediately pulled out a handwritten ticket with a list of drinks for the season. I ordered the fried pickles as I waited for my better half to join me. They were good but a little pricey for the amount of pickles you get. I ordered a bowl of Chicken Noodles Soup and Side salad and the wife ordered the Parmesan Baked Clams. The salad was good size and priced fairly but the bowl of soup was okay, it was warm and had a good flavor but pricey for what I received. My wife enjoyed her baked clams. The only issue is they were warm. She did enjoy her two martinis. The sound became an issue as they got busier. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. For the price and having to sit at an uncomfortable chair, I don't think I will drive across town to return here.

I’ll start with saying the restaurant staff, especially Pebbles who served our table, are very friendly and helpful. The food was pretty delicious too 😋 we were mildly disappointed to hear the Fish and Chips was not battered there, so probably prepackaged battered fish, which isn’t uncommon. Was pleased that Pebbles went back to inquire with the kitchen staff and report back to us when asked, definitely helpful! The Fried Cheese appetizer was pretty good, nice and stretchy cheese. The Mac and Cheese with pulled pork was delicious 😋 and the Homemade Oatmeal Cookie was especially nice for dessert, slightly warm, with the cream cheese filling, ice cream, some whipped cream, caramel and chocolate syrup drizzled over the top 😋 The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, lots of well placed for watching sports on appropriate nights, and nice large booths for seating several people comfortably. They were fairly empty when we went so service was very quick, but based on what I saw I imagine things don’t slow down much even when they’re full. Will be back!

Zero complaints about food and service. My wife had the Nashville shrimp Po-boy which she really enjoyed and I had the Pastrami sandwich and it was delicious. Our daughter got the kid’s Mac and cheese. It was real Mac and cheese (not Kraft like other restaurants do these days) and was tasty. Portions were perfect; nobody left hungry or carrying out half their meal in a box. Zero complaints about our waitress. Never waited for anything and she was very courteous. The establishment left a little to be desired. The overhead doors in the wall behind our booth must be great to open up during warm weather, but it was cold outside and the drafts blowing through had us wearing our coats while we ate. Also, menus were dirty and sticky. Always wonder how well everything else is cleaned if the menus can’t get a quick wipe after each customer handles them.

This place was so much better as the grumpy goat (before the ownership change and rename)

Will never go again. Menu is extremely misleading and overpriced for what both my wife and I thought was below average food. The meal described in the menu was vastly different than what I got put in front of me and found multiple bone shards in my chicken (supposedly “boneless”)

When I asked the waitress why my meal was not what the menu described, she apologized, took my plate, and brought the check. No attempt at all to discuss with me where the miscommunication or misunderstanding happened. She acted as if she was too busy to even attempt handling the issue. Not even a partial discount off the meal I ate literally 3 bites of.

To top it all off, the wait time was pretty absurd. Got a table right away, but our food took 45 minutes to come out from when we ordered.

Seems the new managers have no clue how to run a place. I’d steer clear of this place. It’s not even close to its old former glory.

Overall, extremely sub-par. I’d give zero stars...
