Sunset Trocadero — Restaurant in West Hollywood

I came here last night for a midnight dinner. I sit at the bar. 2 Canadian guys sit on both sides of me. It’s was clear that they had been over served as one’s language was very slurred & and the other was leaning into me. My food arrives & the guy on my right grabs a lamb chop off of my plate. The one on the left keeps leaning on my abs breathing over my plate. I’m immediately perplexed. The bartender, a guy and a women were there. They witnessed my experience.

It actually disrupted the bar and as a result, another patron came over and resolved the issue and told the other guys to go away. It was unfortunate that another patron had to step in. It was even more unfortunate that I was having this experience while trying to enjoy my $80 meal without any accommodation.

The guys came back over a few minutes later and once again, the other patron asked them to get from away from me. The restaurant seemed to only care about the money as they continued to serve these belligerent people at the expense of my safety as a 5ft woman, my comfort as a patron & enjoyment of my meal.

Although I’m removed from the industry, I was in it for well over 10 years. I would have never allowed a guest to experience such horrible service and not at the least accommodate them. I actually asked if they mind comping a portion of my bill (which I shouldn’t have had to) considering all that happened that they seen and was told they couldn’t by the man working that...

So so disappointing. My gosh we were only 1 of two prim the whole restaurant and the service was awful. Our waitress smiled a lot but was totally inept. We ordered an appetizer ...... we had to remind her.... clueless she just laughs .... brings it last. Never checks in on us. The bill was over $140 for 3 drinks a salad and a hamburger with fries and the calamari appetizer. Drinks are $14-$18. Table ticked back and forth. Your silverware is cheap taped in a low grade napkin. We chose this because it was dog friendly which we appreciated but unlike most dog friendly restaurants they offered no water for my dog. I paid $18 for a chicken breast for her and it did not come on a plate for her. This is the least favorite place I have eaten in a long time. It was empty and you can see why. Sad. Wow... Been going to Troc for years... Always had great staff , quick attentive bartenders etc. Best happy hour in town..Went the other night and waited for over 20 min to get round of drinks with only 8 people in bar . I believe the bartender name was John ( slowest ever) when we said we’ve been waiting 25 min his response was “that’s impossible we’ve only been open 22min.. Really. Ok 20 min 22 min 25 min what’s the difference? How long does it take to make a Tito’s and soda ... Went back tonight and some goth girl is bartending .. She didn’t know how to make a vodka press and she seemed confused as to how to make another simple drink as well ...Is there s new owner that is trying to ruin a great bar. Might give one more...
