I want to preface this by saying I LOVE hotels and I’m also extremely picky about them. The Pendry Hotel in West Hollywood was one I came across last minute and had reasonable rates in the best location. My favorite hotel chain has always been the Montage but the one in BH was taken over by another hotel. I’m very loyal to the hotels I love so I was sad to hear about the Montage closing; it felt like kismet when I checked into The Pendry to discover it’s a sister hotel of Montage. This is now one of my favorite hotels ever—no doubt my favorite in LA. Although things like location, views, food, amenities, etc are all incredibly important to me when choosing a hotel, the most important aspect of a hotel or anything in the hospitality industry comes down to the people who work there. Not only does the Pendry have incredible rooms/suites, location, views, food, and amenities, they also have my favorite hotel staff I’ve EVER encountered. Somehow the people who work there manage to make you feel like you’re actually checking into your own home (a very luxurious home at that). From the fresh juice served daily at the front desk to the genuine warmth I was greeted with by EVERY single person working there the second I checked in, I knew The Pendry was and is going to be my (along with family members) go to hotel; I will be staying exclusively at The Pendry from now on! Luckily I’ll be back with my mom in September!
The amazing people who work there never fail to go above and beyond and to put a big grin on my face despite it being a stressful trip. The staff was so great that I now genuinely want to work there—simply to have the pleasure of working with such an outstanding team. Everyone from Eric (hopefully I’m remembering his name correctly) who brought me up room service every day, the maintenance men who brought me up an extra fridge I could store special medications I have, Angel and all the other infinitely patient people at the front desk, to the extremely hard working pool attendants—all 11/10. I want to give an EXTRA SPECIAL shout-out to my favorite concierge ever, Adrienne! She is not only incredibly hard working and so good at her job that she made everything I needed happen so seamlessly well, she also is someone I could have talked to for hours—she has a great sense of humor. Adrienne is one of my favorite parts of The Pendry! She was even kind enough to give me some tips that had helped her with TMJ pain; Adrienne also gave me the name of her own doctor after I mentioned I was looking for a specialist. The other concierge was also so lovely (I’m sorry I can’t remember her name). It was great to get to talk to her and know her a bit better too! I don’t think I’ve ever actually gone online and written a review for anything in my life but The Pendry—more specifically the people working there (that make The Pendry as great as it is) deserve major recognition! Thank you all for such an amazing stay! I look forward to seeing you all again very soon! If I could give The Pendry a million stars I would! * Please forgive any grammatical/punctuation errors as I typed this...

As a seasoned corporate traveler who has experienced some of the finest establishments around the globe, I can confidently say that my experience at Pendry West Hollywood was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled conveniently across the street from the iconic ANDAZ WEST HOLLYWOOD, Pendry is a true oasis that stands out in a city filled with options.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped by an atmosphere that was not just visually stunning but also rich in soothing aromas. The artistic flair of Pendry creates a serene haven that invites relaxation and rejuvenation. The environment itself is a masterpiece, making it the perfect backdrop for a spa day.
A significant highlight of my visit was the exceptional service provided by the spa staff, particularly a young man named Myles. His professionalism and genuine warmth set the tone for my experience. Myles greeted me with a radiant smile, instantly making me feel at home. His knowledge of the products and services offered was impressive, and he guided me through the options with kindness and understanding. It's rare to encounter someone who embodies such dedication to customer care, and I can honestly say that Myles made my experience remarkable.
The spa products I tried were absolutely incredible, and the items I purchased exceeded all expectations. Each product was a testament to quality, and I left feeling fantastic!
It's also worth mentioning the delightful rooftop restaurant experience that accompanied my visit. The staff there were kind, ensuring that my lunch was a peaceful retreat. The combination of cuisine with a tranquil ambiance made for a truly delightful experience.
If I were not a guest at ANDAZ WEST HOLLYWOOD, I would have eagerly chosen to stay at Pendry, thanks to the warm and professional welcome I received from Myles. They have certainly set a high standard in hospitality.
I highly recommend Pendry West Hollywood Spa to anyone living in California or visiting West Hollywood. It is an experience that is second to none, and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. Pendry is a shining example of what exceptional service and quality should look and feel like in the hospitality industry. Kudos to the staff and leadership for creating such a...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Pendry West Hollywood from November 8-10, and, unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience that left me feeling embarrassed and undervalued.||||I booked a Deluxe Skyline One-Bedroom Suite at $907 per night. A few hours after booking, I was informed that my reserved room was unavailable, and I was offered a downgrade to a room over a loud busy parking lot for a hundred dollar discount. When I declined, they offered me an upgrade for one night, with a room switch the next day — though they couldn’t guarantee a smooth transition. This was inconvenient but manageable, so I tried to be accommodating.||||After checking in late the first night, I hoped the rest of my stay would go smoothly. However, the next morning, two staff members, who looked like security, unexpectedly knocked on my door, stating they were there to “escort me from the room.” I had received no prior notice that my new room was ready, nor no prior request to leave or vacate and the sudden visit felt intrusive and embarrassing, as though I were being evicted. When I contacted the front desk, the manager on duty was dismissive, offering me a drink to “calm down” and insisting this was normal practice . I’ve stayed at Pendry properties before, and I’ve never experienced anything like this.||||After being directed to wait on the rooftop for hours, I eventually went back to the lobby around 3 PM. At this point, I witnessed the same manager who’d dismissed me treating another group of women with exaggerated courtesy, explaining that their room delay was due to the previous guest (who was, in fact, me). Hearing him lie and witnessing the preferential treatment made it clear that some guests are prioritized over others. I felt utterly invisible and dismissed.||||Finally, a different manager came in the evening and offered a $300 credit, drinks, and cheesecake as an apology. While I appreciated the gesture, the overall experience left a lasting impression. It seemed that only high-profile or “important” guests receive true hospitality here.||||This experience was unsettling and disappointing. I urge Pendry West Hollywood to train their staff on handling overbooking situations and interacting with all guests respectfully, regardless of status. Sadly, I can’t recommend this property after my...
