El Beto's Mexican Food — Restaurant in West Jordan

zero stars first off what happened to the 3 awesome ladies that used to work drive thru? I have been going to this location for 8+ years. I only remember 1 wrong order in that whole time. Since they changed the staff we've had every order wrong and they employees are always grumpy and rude. Today I ordered a "carne asada burrito" and a "ham torta". I got to the window and paid. Didn't receive a receipt but didn't think anything of it. When I received my food it was 2 burritos. I told the lady I ordered a carne asada burrito and a ham torta. She said no I asked for a carne asada and a ham. She argued with me and I assured her I ordered a ham torta. She charged me more for the torta and while waiting for my correct food I looked at the burrito and noticed it said C.F. on the wrapper. I opened it and it had carne asada, fries, and cheese. When the lady returned with my food I told her I ordered a carne asada and that my husband has a dairy allergy and that it wasn't the carne asada burrito. She got really upset and told me I asked for carne asada with fries. I've never heard of that burrito and I said no I asked for carne asada. She was like no just barely you said carne asada with fries and a torta. I'm sorry but fries never came out of my mouth. She then said she had to ask if they would be willing to remake it. I'm sorry but it has cheese and the carne asada does not come with cheese and having an allergy that is why we order that burrito. She came back and asked what I wanted because they didn't want to remake it again. I said I want a carne asada burrito and she asked me again, but what do you want. I was so confused. I clearly asked for a carne asada burrito. It's on the menu. So I specified that it comes with carne, pico, and guacamole. Then she left and came back with the correct burrito. I'm not a mean or aggressive person but the service and this lady arguing with me that I ordered something different not once but several times really got to me. I'm also pretty sure I over paid in the end and I WILL NOT EVER COME BACK TO THIS BETOS. Unless they bring back the old crew. It would be nice if corporate would read these negative reviews and do...

So today I went to get my husband some food, I asked for two shredded beef burritos. I CLEARLY asked for no pico de gallo. And clearly asked for rice, cheese, and sour cream added. Not hard. The lady at the window started out bad by only handing out a swamp in a brown paper bag, it was not just wet, but soaked through. I looked in and saw one burrito. I asked her where my second burrito was, she told me that no I only asked for one. So I asked her to go and get me a second one. SHE REPEATED WORD FOR WORK THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT I HAD ASKED FOR THE BURRITO, she understood. When my husband took his first bite he first words out of his mouth was "this tastes like I am eating barf" And indeed he was eating a swamp ass burrito that had no rice no cheese and no sour cream but guess what it had pico de gallo a lot of it. This one instance sums up the many times that we have run into issue after issue with them. Usually the only girl that gets the orders right is the one that has glasses and is very kind. IF YOU WANT QUALITY FOOD DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO MCDONALD'S at least they care...

The fact that the restaurant was clean and did not smelled like fabuloso was already a win. The food was delicious. It tasted fresh and the clerk lady was very nice. I usually don’t care about how fast they make the food because I don’t go through the drive up but the food was ready pretty quick. Now, all these betos, gualbertos, florobertos, rancheritos sell the exact same food, different variations here and there but it's pretty much the same thing. Some of these places are disgusting not only because they don't care about the food and cleanliness of the restaurant but also because the places are run by people who do not care or just don't know how to operate a restaurant. Most of them are in business and do good for the whole ton of cheap food at three am type of thing. I am glad this is not one of those. As a Mexican I can tell you that there is absolutely nothing authentic about these type of food but when they do it right and they're honest and clean why not go back? My favorites: crispy bean burritos, cowboy fries and the 5 street taco...
