I do not understand why this place has such high ratings. Maybe it's because there are no good options for mediterranean food in West Lafayette so people don't know any better or appreciate whatever they can get over here. I ordered a half spicy chicken and half falafel bowl. The spicy chicken was shredded, bland, and underseasoned. If a restaurant claims to have mediterranean food, they should have a decent GRILLED chicken with flavor. The spicy chicken tasted like and had the texture of canned chicken almost like canned tuna. The hummus and babaganoosh were decent but why is the hummus 99 cents extra? The bowl is already around 12 dollars with quite a small portion compared to other bowl chains like CAVA which btw I love. The falafel was decent tasting but quite dry as if it had been reheated and siting there for several hours. There are also not enough vegetable topping options to give the bowl more flavor to compensate for the sub par protein options. The white sauce and tzaziki was good, but the red sauce is not spicy at all, but tasty. I think they should add a spicy sauce to the menu. Finally, the employee asked me if I wanted a side pita, and I assumed it was free because I was not told it was $1.89 extra(which is ridiculously priced). The pita texture was good and not dry, but it was bland and the dough tasted as if they added no salt. The employee who was serving me was new and the manager was not very nice him or me. After adding a 10% tip, my bill was almost $17. Even if you remove the tip that is just way too much. This place is overhyped. Please find a CAVA and see how good it is and you will never want to eat here again. I hope they make changes to their menu and I'm sure even more...
Read moreMy recent visit to this establishment was less than satisfactory, primarily due to the subpar customer service. Right from the moment I entered, it was evident that the staff's approach to customers lacked warmth. The absence of even basic courtesies like acknowledgment and smiles made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a valued patron.
Particularly concerning were the actions of two women working on food preparation; their behavior came across as extremely rude. This left me feeling uncomfortable and as if I were doing something wrong simply by placing an order. Such hostile behavior was a new and unpleasant experience for me. However, I must commend Kyle at the cashier counter for eventually turning things around and making me feel more at ease.
Considering the establishment had just opened two days ago, I had expected a more positive and...
Read moreHorrible experience all around the last 3 times I’ve came. The manager Bryce was rude to the staff and to guest. The entire time I was eating he kept leaving them to go outside and he smelled strong of cigarettes and didn’t wash his hands coming back in. which does not make the food appetizing at all. The quality of the food seems to have gone down drastically the last few weeks. And the “owner” seems clueless when she’s there. And to top it off I saw said manager Bryce taking a license plate off of another car and putting it on his. So not only does this establishment not care who they allow to manage the place but they also dont seem to care about how guest feel towards it either. I made a complaint about the manager only to be told “the owner doesn’t care, she needs him” if a business can’t employee decent people then it’s a business I’m not...
