My husband and I tried Avanti for the first time last night. We couldn't have asked for a better experience to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. The service was top notch and genuine. The Chef and Owner even popped over to ask how our meal was since he hadn't seen us before. I had a specific craving that wasn't on the online menu but there were so many other delicious options I knew I would find something I would enjoy especially with 4 different fish/seafood options. To my surprise, rack of lamb was the special for the evening. I have honestly never had a more exceptional lamb dinner in my life. The lamb was paired with goat cheese au gratin and broccolini. Every single aspect of this dish was divine!!!! My husband went for the house favorite Cider Brined Pork chop. The chop was easily an inch thick, juicy and cooked to perfection. Easily the best food we've eaten after living in West Linn for 9 years. Covid was brutal on the fine dining scene as we know. Read moreAfter hearing glowing reviews from coworkers, I had to check it out for myself – and I’m so glad I did! I highly recommend making a reservation. We visited on a Friday night and were lucky to have one, as the place was packed!
We started with the bread service, which was warm and delicious, and the crab cakes. Just a heads-up—if you're dining with more than two people, definitely order extra crab cakes! They were so tasty, but we each only got one.
For our entrees, we chose the prime rib special and the scallops. The scallops were perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the broccoli had a crisp, flavorful touch without being overpowering. The prime rib was massive, cooked to perfection, and practically melted in your mouth—it was so tender you could almost cut it with a butter knife.

Read moreHad the chicken with risotto and broccoli. My friends had the beet salad, crab cakes, and shrimp bisque and creme brûlée. Not a weak link anywhere. The risotto with creme fraiche and butternut squash was particularly excellent. The bisque was complex with a hint of Thai influence. Will have to have my own bowl if that next time.
Didn’t get a chance this first visit to explore the specialty cocktail menu but looked very creative and will do so next time.
So thrilled to have an exceptional restaurant in “the neighborhood”. I live in a Tigard but close enough! Can’t wait to see what this chef does next with the menu seasonally. There are a few things I have my eye on to try next time. Tualatin/Tigard needs a quality restaurant like this. Please visit so they stick around. It will not disappoint. We deserve more than chain restaurants and Hayden’s is NOT what it used to be!
