Arby's, 2300 West New Haven Avenue, West Melbourne, Florida - 4- Stars (Fast Food Rating)
Sometimes you just don't have time for a sit-down meal, and you are sick of burgers. One fast food place that occasionally gets overlooked is Arby's. It was founded back in 1964, but what blows my preconceived notions is how Arby's seems to have suddenly become an alternate fast-food (or as Arby's likes to refer to itself, Fast Crafted ®) reality alt fast. Claiming to be the second-largest sandwich restaurant in the world with over 3,500 locations in nine countries, the menu is no longer just roast beef. In fact, Arby's states that it "celebrates the art of Meatcraft® with a variety of high-quality proteins and innovative crave-able sides." Indeed, the menu has expanded greatly. There is a full menu of what appears to be healthier options as well as a wide range of cheat foods.
This is not your grandmothers Arby's.
Robin is the counter help. She is a wizened veteran of the restaurant business and has an amazing personality for the level she is working here. This must reflect the Arby's Restaurant Group's stated brand purpose of Inspiring Smiles Through Delightful Experiences ™. I am not making this up.
Robin even went out to the dining room to ask customers how their food tasted. WHAT? Imagine them doing THAT at the Golden Arches!
I ordered the Classic Roast Beef--the standard Arby's throwback--although I had a choice of twelve different Slow Roasted Beef items. Tasty morsels of processed beef product with the accurate flavoring.
Next, I tried the Turkey Ranch and Bacon, which had fresh lettuce and tomato and looked and tasted good. Currently, due to a turkey shortage, you can only get this sandwich in one of their stores, not online.
Last, an order of the Crinkle Fries (although the Curly Fries looked good too). These fries were cooked right, not over or under fried.

Read moreI stopped in this location just for a Reuben combo for my I'll mother who was heading into her 2nd brain surgery for the glioblastoma multiform grade 4 cancer she has. My mom loves Arby's Reuben sandwiches, but doesn't like too much kraut on it and every time I get her combo from our closest Arby's in Merritt Island and ask for light kraut they still put away too much on it. So when I went inside and ordered her meal, the counter lady was so sweet and apologized for any other Arby's messing it up and assured me that they will get it perfect for her. The lady went and talked to the manager and line cook and also discounted my order then asked me if my mom liked milkshakes. I said yes, her favorite was jamocha and she brought me a large shake to give to my mom. I got back to the hospital with my mom's meal and shake and my mother said that was the best Reuben sandwich she's ever gotten from any Arby's and that she loved her shake! I want to thank the lady who helped me that day and let her know that her kindness did not go unnoticed and that I can only hope to interact with more people as friendly and kind as she was in the future. I am always respectful to anyone, until I'm disrespected and even then I don't treat them wrong I just ignore them. It's sad that it's getting more rare to come across people like this Arby's has employed and I hope they keep their team because there great! I will stop by when I'm in town again for some great food and friendly service! My mom made it thru her surgery, thank our good Lord above and lives to enjoy another Reuben sandwich from Arby's....
Read moreI visited this restaurant just after the dinner rush and found it surprisingly quiet, as we were the only diners at the time. The atmosphere was rather subdued, with minimal interaction from the staff who seemed disinterested in their work. Silence filled the air as we placed our orders without any verbal exchange.
Finding a clean place to sit was a challenge, as both the floors and tables were unkept and dirty. However, despite these issues, the food itself was a pleasant surprise. Both the crinkle and curly fries were served hot and crispy. The French dip and gyro were notably fresh, with the dip sauce being particularly flavorful and enjoyable.
Overall, the quality of the food was a redeeming aspect of our experience, though the cleanliness and service left much to be desired.
A year prior----things have changed except the food. :) I used the drive thru and the employees are always so friendly. Great customer service. And the food is fresh....love some crinkle cut fries straight from the fryer. OH...don't forget to add the warm amd yummy reeses peanut butter cookie...you...
