Jackson’s Blue Ribbon Pub of West Milwaukee — Restaurant in West Milwaukee

I really enjoy Jackson's and like to stop by every now and then for some drinks and wings. The food is consistently solid--especially the honey sriracha wings, which are my favorite! I've also tried a few other menu items, and you really can't go wrong. The menu is similar to the other Jackson's locations in the area, which makes it easy to know what to expect. Service tends to be a bit slow, but it's usually understandable since we sit in the bar area, and the bartender is often responsible for both the bar and the nearby tables. They do their best, and we're typically in no rush. That said, one of our more recent visits was a little disappointing. We stopped in around 3 p.m. on a Sunday, and the atmosphere was unusually chaotic. The music was very loud--so loud that it was hard to hear the bartender and even carry on a conversation with my husband. There was also a group of rowdy patrons being obnoxious, whistling, and vaping indoors. I get that it's a bar, and a lively crowd is part of the vibe, but vaping inside should've been addressed. A simple reminder from staff to take it outside would have helped. Overall, I still like Jackson's for a casual hangout with great wings, but l'd appreciate a little more attention to the atmosphere when it starts to get...

Great place to hang out and drink beers and listen to good music before and after Brewers games! Five stars for atmosphere.

HOWEVER we did not have a good experience using the shuttle service to get to the Brewer game. The bus was at the bar to leave. The driver was not. When the driver arrived so did a second bus. I asked when another bus was coming and the server said right away a third bus would be here. So I canceled my Uber and paid a cancellation fee. But the third bus did not show up. When the bus came back 45 MINUTES LATER I sat on the floor because it was overloaded. Then leaving the game all the buses came and went and ours did not. And I had a good 45 minutes at least to think about how irritating it is standing on a corner, waiting for a bus. And the other bar buses laughed and waved. So I will get on those other buses next time. Two stars for service.

We had to run some errands today, and I couldn't think of a better time to go exploring new places, so we searched Google map and spotted a small bar in the area we were going to be in, so that's how we found Jacksons blue ribbon pub, it's an excellent corner location with outdoor seating on the patio out front, we decided to sit inside, the interior was well lit, and they have these half garage door style windows that open up and just make the space very cool, I ordered the brisket, and for my side, I chose the sweet potato fries which were perfectly cooked, the wife ordered a Reuben and French fries, we were both happy with our choices, yes I would go back, I got the pineapple mule so maybe I will try one of the other mules they offer, the copper cups they serve the mules in are very cool and I wouldn't mind having...
