El Sombrero — Restaurant in West Monroe

Highly disappointed… the past 3 times we have ate here the food and service has been horrible and this used to be our favorite Mexican food restaurant. This time we had 3 food orders wrong in our group of 8 only 6 of us ordered food and the other 2 only ordered drinks. Never got out queso or guacamole when inasked for it as an appetizer to eat with chips and salsa, server wasn’t attentive. I ordered the seafood ranchero (which comes with queso on it) only had 3/4 shrimp on my plate asked for the queso to be on the side and not on the meal itself then he charged me for a 6$ side of queso and I told him I never ordered a side of queso and he argued with me. My friend had the same thing but shrimp and chicken ranchero we were all comepletly done eating by the time she got her food. So much more I could say but this place definitely...

Food was good, however the prices are completely ridiculous. By far probably the highest price for Mexican food in the area including Ruston and no specials on drinks. Margarita over $10 a combination plate with 2 items and rice and beans was $16 we went at lunch time. And it was empty. The food was good but no way was it worth the price. I would not and will not go back. Too many other Mexican restaurants...

We've been here on numerous occasions over several years. It's always been a place that has accommodated our large groups despite last minute notices. Every time, we have had great service, food delivered promptly and hot, and all orders brought to the table without mistakes on any of the orders. And we are never rushed out the door after finishing our meals. Thanks for making our last minute family...
