El Chapin Restaurant & Bakery — Restaurant in West New York

I was recently in New Jersey for a concert and stayed walking distance from El Chapin. We tried it on our first night there and we ate there almost every day and sometimes twice a day until we left and now I am sad. I don’t know when I will ever return but now I feel like I need to go back just to go eat here. The vibe and decor was bright and beautiful, the staff were so nice and welcoming, and the food was DELICIOUS! The food here was almost as good as my dad’s haha. The breakfast was delicious, the carne asada was so good and such a great deal for how much food you get and the tamales 😭 one of the best I’ve had. Please make a location in Jacksonville, FL lol PLEASE

The personal is pretty bad basically it was the manager and other coworker they were laughing and talking about me, who know what there were saying but it was in from of me, the coworker it was the one who was laughing and i come from him, like " are you laughing about me" and he was like ooooo what did you say and them i repeat "are you laughing about me" them he say no, but I knew it that he was talking about me because he point me with his hand and them he star laughing. It was bad I did like what they did to me. Why there were talking about me I don't understand I always buy food is not like an a homeless who is asking for free food no Im buying my food. El Chapin is new, the place is clean, bright and easy on the eyes. Our waitress Whitney is super nice and very attentive. We got the sopa de Rez, doblada, revueltas pupusa. First the bowls and cups are cute, and feels very home-like. The revueltas pupusa I thought were just ok, too thin on the filling, the outside tasty sticky and undercooked. The curtido was good though. The sopa de res was excellent though, good flavors without being oversalted. The doblada was my favorite, good shell outside, good filling well cooked.
