I was recently in New Jersey for a concert and stayed walking distance from El Chapin. We tried it on our first night there and we ate there almost every day and sometimes twice a day until we left and now I am sad. I don’t know when I will ever return but now I feel like I need to go back just to go eat here. The vibe and decor was bright and beautiful, the staff were so nice and welcoming, and the food was DELICIOUS! The food here was almost as good as my dad’s haha. The breakfast was delicious, the carne asada was so good and such a great deal for how much food you get and the tamales 😭 one of the best I’ve had. First the bowls and cups are cute, and feels very home-like. The revueltas pupusa I thought were just ok, too thin on the filling, the outside tasty sticky and undercooked.
