I would like to share overall experience with this place. I just placed order with delivery.com and received my order. I ordered lentil soup, ayran, gyro wrap and iskender kebab. I have some knowledge about turkish food. I visited so many great restaurants in the past. In this place were couple times with friend to do light lunches. And today it was very different. Maybe their cook changed. I know they use pita bread instead of sesame seed covered puffy delicious breads. But today is was horrible. Pita breads inside of iskender kebab not butter, but kind of smelly oil and processed gyro meat, not marinated sliced real doner meat. When I called guy who works there were polite and told me it was freshly made. It wasn’t iskender kebab at all, if you add yoghurt meat, bread, oil and orange not red tomato sauce it doesn’t make iskender kebabs at all. Sandwich were cold and dry, soup was very good, I keeping soup and sandwich but returning food for refund. And not coming back this place again. I suggest you NYC or cliffside park area turkish real places.
Reply to owner: If he same chef, he has to learn cook Ikender kebab or doner meat. You are saying you don’t use processed meat, what I received was processed. It was prepacked pressed regular store sold gyro meat. I know taste of it from all Mediterranean cuisine, or regular places (Romano pizza, Gongonzola grill or food trucks.) And I know what is real Turkish doner meat(marinated meats in skewer and gets sliced when outer part cooked). I know what is kebabs or koftes. Maybe I am not cook or Turkish, but I know what is Turkish food or bread, stores and all Turkish restaurants in...
Read moreOrdered delivery via Uber Eats one Sunday afternoon and everything came on time. Since my in-laws were over for lunch and they haven't had a whole lot of mediterranean food, we wanted to get a little bit of everything for them to try. Here is everything we got:
Eggplant Salad - pretty standard. No complaints here Shepherd's Salad - refreshing. I always like a good shepherd's salad if I'm eating a heavy meal of lots of meat and rice Falafel - this was good. I thought it was just a side of falafel but was pleasantly surprised when it came with rice, salad, and hummus Fries - soggy and crinkle cut, but nothing the air fryer couldn't fix (2) Mix Kebab (adana kebab, chicken shish kebab, lamb shish kebab and chicken adana, served with rice) - the kebabs were a bit dry but in most of my experiences at other similar restaurants, they usually are. I really liked the adanas though. One of these is enough to share between two people Baklava - I don't love baklava because it's too sweet for me but at least this had a nice and strong pistachio flavor
The food came with an entire baggie of warm and fluffy pita bread, which I loved. I think next time, I'll try to order some gyro with one of...
Read moreI ordered the mix kebab last night through Uber Eats. I have eaten from this place many times in the past and the food was good. Last night, the mix kebab was absolutely disgusting. All the chicken, all the beef had a weird taste to it, and was very dry. We ate the rice and that was it. I will never order from this place again. That was a complete waste of $40. Even if it was good, still not worth the price tag. Sickening.
Adding this as a response to your reply of my original review. The review on how bad the food was that night has nothing to do with trying to cancel the order. I do find it strange that in the past whenever I ordered the mix kebab, it would take at least 20 minutes to make. When I called this past time, 4 minutes after placing the order, you said it was already made. It was made in 4 minutes this time? I find that very fishy. But again, my review has nothing to do with that. The food really was bad, and I am entitled to share my truthful experience with your food. Do not worry, I will never be back. You have lost a customer for life. Good...
