Real nice people work here so it pains me to say that the pizza is not great. It use to be very good years ago in the mid 2000's when I first found the place . I try it every couple of years and it has not improved so I will write this to help them change and prosper. The price is very good but the NY style dough is to thick so it does not cook all the way through. That means half the dough is gooey. ( On single slices this is not as bad because they use the large dough to make the Jumbo pizza.) The texture just isn't correct.... it should be lighter and crunchier and It's more like bread doe.... a little crunchy but rather doughy chewy. The sauce is slightly acidic but seems to have nothing else in it but canned tomato puree where there should be a little oregano, basil and garlic. Everyone has their own taste in pizza but for me, if you must eat their pizza, I would suggest you ask them to use a size smaller dough and stretch it to the next size up plus have them sprinkle a little spice on the sauce before the cheese goes on. I only say this in hopes they make some modifications in the recipe so I will want to go there again. I can not comment on any of the other food they have because I have not tried it. It's not vary apparent that they have other food.... but they do. This also should be worked on. Because they are so nice and because the head chef cares and takes job so seriously. .... you can tell me cares by the look in his face while talking with the other employees ..... that I know I will go back to try the other food. This is a very small restaurant so they just need a little tweaking to the food choices, ambiance and pizza then I think more...

Never know what you are going to get. I have tried their pizza four times.

The first time I got a large margarita pie and it was delicious. Thin crust perfect, side note for some reason they had stretched it out to be a 21" pie and bc their boxes are only 18 they needed to fold the crust to make it fit which was kind of weird but whatever crust was good, great.

The second time however we got the same pie and the crust was very thick and very tasteless it just was not seasoned or something at all not sure how to describe it.

Third time we talked to the guys before ordering it and they were very nice tried to acclimate us and make it the same way as the first time with a thinner crust. They explained to me that the pizza dough they use for their larger and extra large i.e. 18 and 21" pie respectively was the same size and they just stretch it out more. They actually made us Zeppoles which was very nice and I was impressed with the staff. However when we got the pie home it was exactly the same as the prior time we got the pie... Very thick crust and no taste to the margarita pie...

Fourth time was for their normal plain pie not the margarita and it was ok. Crust was still pretty thick but at least it was a little more seasoned. Overall this place has potential but you just never know what to expect unlike other restaurants around the area. Still trying to find a place that can compare to my fav pizza joints in NJ like Hoboken's: Napoli's or Lincoln...

I used to go here when since I was 7. I had great memories and spent a lot of times with my dad. But after 10 months of not eating at presto’s we (my mom, dad, and sister) decided to go eat our favorite dish Chicken Franchise. When we entered we realized that this placed as changed, it didn’t feel like the place I once knew but we were hungry so we decided to eat because we thought maybe the food didn’t change. We couldn’t sit inside because there was so much stuff that felt so when necessary to have, so we sat outside. We waited for about maybe 45 minutes. We have court ordered two slices of pepperoni pizza, but when we started eating it, it just didn’t feel like the old pizza I once knew. Once we received our food, which was there to us in Togo containers, we realize that the chicken on the chicken franchise wasn’t cooked well, and looked very eggy. Once we were done(yes, we ate the whole thing) we felt very, very nauseous. 10 minutes after leaving I felt like I was about to throw up which never happens when I go here. I was very disappointed with the food today. Especially since the cook that has been there since I was little was still there. I was shocked that I even got this meal in this type of way. This place has lost his charm and its way of cooking. It’s safe to say that I will never come back to Prestos ever again. And to the man that usually is there, my friend, the Italian guy. I hope you do come back you were the only one holding the...

UPDATE: They gave me food poisoning. My original review was written yesterday and today, it appears that it was contaminated. I now have severe food poisoning. Previous post: I come here all of the time. This time was awful. I ordered Garlic Knots and they were served to me ice cold by the girl with the thick black framed glasses and slicked back ponytail. Her name is KARINA. She had an attitude and IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS took my garlic knots that I BIT INTO, put it in the garlic knot tray and threw it in the oven. The couple that came in were disgusted and made a point about it and I’m so embarrassed and shocked. When I went to pay, she threw my debit card at me too. I am literally confused as to why she was so discriminatory towards me. Management, please look at the timestamp of 12/01/24 timestamp 4:00-16pm. The only good thing was my slice but I was only allowed to buy 1 because they refused to make more to sell. Plus an Amazon worker came in looking to buy some plain slices and he was turned away. Poor guy.

Nice to see the cook and owner smoking right by the entrance of the pizzeria. NJ law is clear, 25 feet from the main door. I’m sure they don’t wash their hands either. 😷 I grew up eating at Presto’s back when the original owners managed the place. Then the son took over and it remained fairly similar because the mother would come and cook and oversee the business. Now, the current owner is hardly ever there. They serve you the pizza after grabbing coins and cash, against board of health policy. The quality of the food is poor, no parking available. No air conditioner during summer and in the winter you freeze. The place is just poor overall quality. Take the ride and go to Sal’s Pizza in Bergenline Ave. Better quality, service and parking available.

I am so disappointed of this place; I ordered a Medium Margarita Pizza and added Mushrooms. The price, $28.50 for a Medium Pizza šŸ™„. They took over 1 hour to Deliver the pizza, I still tipped the driver and gave him a pen because he didn’t have a pen and my pizza arrived cold. The flavor…. Well, I know Margarita pizza has basil 🌿 but I don’t know what they put on this one, but that was not basil on my pizza (see pic). At the end I spent $34 dollars for a Medium Pizza šŸ• and cold 🄶 with something that’s not basil…. This is not an Italian pizza. I’m never ordering from this place again. (The owner is really nice though). The Dough was good, the cheese was ok, but honestly, save your money and time abs spend it elsewhere.
