Hakuna Makava — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

I’ve been a part of the kava community for years and consistently try any new spot I find. I’ve ventured into countless different tea rooms looking for “the one”. After stumbling into Hakuna Makava because of a friend’s recommendation, I quickly became a regular. Don’t get me wrong – Palm Beach County has some incredible kava spots. That being said, Hakuna offers an experience unparalleled in the kava community. Here’s what you can expect:

A spectacular and extensive selection and presentation of teas, shells, mixed drinks, and other products, all customized to each customer’s personal taste. An environment with thoughtful décor, designed for comfort – the recently expanded/remodeled space offers an original mix of modern elegance and coziness. Pool tables, game nights, movie nights… the snug and tasteful vibe is perfect for a solo trip or to catch up with friends. Unparalleled service and expertise from the kavatenders – their combined multi-decade experience has made each of them knowledgeable, innovative, and passionate about their product. Consistently attentive & devoted to an overall stupendous experience for each and every customer. A vibrant, welcoming, and dedicated community. There’s really no surprise that Hakuna has created a loyal following where people come to satisfy their thirst, or simply spend time with friends.

In summation: Hakuna is truly a gem and has my vote for best Kava bar in Palm Beach County. 10/10 recommend giving the spot a swing – I’m certain you’ll be returning shortly after that first visit! Taste buds...

Owners are on-site and take really good care of their clients. We feel special and never have an empty glass. The Kratom tea is made with some spice that makes it taste great without any additional flavoring. They do have additional flavoring for the tea if you desire.

Their kava comes with a flavor selection-the cocoa pebbles flavor I would highly recommend. Makes the kava taste like chocolate milk. The kava is super smooth and strong as well. Their tea taste amazing and is pretty strong. Both the Kratom and kava here are A+ products. Highly Recommend!!!

Now for the atmosphere of the bar itself. In the daytime the front windows are tinted and are the only source of natural light. This is great. I don’t want a beam of sunlight blinding me while I’m relaxing.

Regarding the night time ambience. The bar has different sources of lighting non of which emit any type of bright beams. All the lights are covered in some way to make them “soft”. It’s really easy on the eyes in here regardless if it’s day or night outside.

They have a loft which seats up to four people (2 at each table of 2). The “loft” are has low lit “Edison” style lights which adds even more to the chill vibe of this bar.

Lastly there are no parking meters here and the route from the interstate only takes a minute or so to get here. Parking is super easy and most times we can park within feet of the front door.

This place is an undiscovered gem in west palm beach’s trendy warehouse district with other restaurants and entertainment nearby.
