Security is really lax. I got in through an open fire exit which should be locked from the outside. There are absolutely ZERO security staff, I walked around the entire building freely, into a back storage room, an employee break room with a vending machine, large machinery was left running and unattended (don't know what it was, weird orange grey tractor thing) rooms full of chairs, I even found a coat rack with all kinds of dress coats. I freely walked into conference rooms on the second floor, which were unlocked despite having electronic locks on them, I even messed around behind some sort of clerks counter, messed with some books, turned all the computer monitors off. This was during an event with staff and guest all over the building, I talked with staff, asked questions, even got directions to the loading dock from a large man named Carlos.
All and all, I had fun, yall are lucky nobody tries to rob the place. Doors should automatically lock behind you, and teach the staff to shut the fire exits properly, because I counted four that were slightly ajar and I could just walk in.
Edit, I should also add that I messed around in some sort of a workshop with a whole plethora of dangerous power tools, from drills to saws. Not only is this expensive to lose, but anyone could just walk in and get hurt or...
Read moreMy recent visit to the Palm Beach County Convention Center left me thoroughly impressed. Firstly, the convenience of ample parking made the experience hassle-free right from the start. Finding a parking spot was a breeze, and it set a positive tone for the day. I was attending a realtors' conference, and I must say, the staff at the convention center were incredibly helpful. They guided me to the right location and answered any questions I had, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Their assistance ensured that I could focus on enjoying the conference itself.
Beyond the exceptional staff and convenience, I couldn't help but admire the architectural design of the building itself. The Palm Beach County Convention Center is a stunning structure, both aesthetically and structurally. The sleek and modern design not only adds to its visual appeal but also reflects a commitment to excellence. It's a testament to the attention to detail that went into creating a space that not only serves its purpose but also leaves a lasting impression. My time at the convention center was not only productive but also enjoyable, thanks in no small part to its excellent design and...
Read moreThe Palm Beach County Convention Center is a 350,000 foot multi-purpose venue managed by Spectra Venue Management. The convention center opened in January 2004 and hosts conventions, trade shows, meetings and social events throughout the year. It is connected by a covered walkway to the Hilton West Palm Beach hotel. Across the street from the convention center is CityPlace, a shopping district with bars, restaurants, and shopping.
I popped into the convention center recently to visit a craft show. Parking is free if you are under a half hour so I set my timer and made it back in time. Inside the convention center is 21,000 square feet of space that can be divided into 19 rooms. There is also a 100,000 square foot exhibition hall and a 22,0000 square foot ballroom. I was impressed with ease of parking and the cleanliness of the exhibit hall hall. I had fun doing a little Christmas shopping. Overall I had a great experience and will be checking out the website for the convention center for...
