We went in and the gentlemen server who was trying to assist at the Host Desk, Running food for other server's and actually greetings guests with exquisite hospitality and the way all guests should be treated period. He sat us according to the order even among the utter chaos among this poor excuse for a restaurant that IHOP sadly has to franchise. Now a select group scattered & unorganized THAT CAME IN 15 Minutes later then us all at different times after attending there church service " treat your neighbor as you treat yourself is what CHRISTS GOLDEN RULE IS" stirred up the manager who came out and told us there would be a long delay because of a severe kitchen fire šš„šØš¼āšš§Æ obviously he was just grasping at any straws because of this one loud, obnoxious, & ignorant rube with her cheap shoes and fake Gucci Bag, lee press on nails and her neon polyester dress came up to our table to make a scene because the tall Gentle man Server who should be the manager because managers are part of the solution, not part of the problem told us to sit there. So the loud boisterous, classless lady made a powerful scene. The coward of a manager " who putting out fires in the kitchen" šš¾was no we're to be found when the real fire was happening in the front of the house. As this God Fearing , Church attending woman cursed and berated us with a vocabulary only equalled by what we could equite to threats like early N.W.A. gangsta rap music. We would not allow ourselves to be spoken to like that. Obviously we were racially profiled and wouldn't give her satisfaction that we even cared what she had to say as the manager hid from his duties and responsibilities by being no where to be found. We should have no better as we walked in the entire place stank of mold , a combination of dirty laundry & Body Odor but no scent of this apparent serious kitchen fire. The only thing this IHOP was missing a chalk line of a dead body on the already filthy carpet and a instructions manual menu on each table explaining emergency procedures like airplanes have. I will never attempt to go to a IHOP ever again. We eventually found a nice Restaurant called Farmer Girl and tipped 100% just to show what that art of hospitality and perfect service goes a long way. Your FOH employees should be taught that TIPS is a acronym for TO INSURE PROPER SERVICE. I would have gladly paid that loud , classless rube 50$ just so she would keep in down and have some human decently and self respect for herself and the people dining around her and with her. If church doesn't work then our party surely showed this IHOP and that lady the only way to prove a point was to completely ignore her by getting up and spending our money in the right place. In a way I thank that polyester queen because her and her fake bag lead us to a delicious breakfast at Farmers Girl. If you're thinking of going to IHOP on Belvedere in West Palm save yourself time and just go to Farmers Girl. It's been there 46 years for a reason. I ordered a Bacon Jam Burger and both the bacon jam and the bacon were missing. After speaking with my waitress, she kindly brought the burger back to have it corrected. The conversation that ensued next was the manager telling the staff to simply cook bacon and bring it out to me with the burger. Upon hearing this I was disturbed because it's customary to simply remake the food, so my waitress brought it back and asked me if it was acceptable and I replied no with a laugh because I was dumbfounded and simply asked her to have it remade please. The host came and checked on us and I replied that I was unhappy given the situation and he stated his apology and noted that everything was being redone and I accepted that answer. Then the manager came to check on us and I let him know that I was unhappy with the situation and I didn't appreciate that the solution was to bring me the same burger I bit into and to just serve me with bacon as though it was a good fix. I let him know that I heard him give the command and didn't appreciate how my situation was being handled. My wife made a mention and then he began questioning her statement as though we were in a courtroom, meanwhile we just wanted to be treated as the customers we were, paying into the establishment we chose to support. So because of that I concluded the conversation and the manager walked away. Our waitress then came and after bringing me out the new burger with my onion rings refried, I was livid and simply asked for a box with my check. She stated that she would try to get something corrected on the check and the manager then gave us a "police discount" which only covered $9 worth of my $12 burger so I became even more frustrated and requested the manager. The manager lied and told me I asked for the onion rings to be taken off when both the waitress and I confirmed that was not true. The manager than began shouting at me and wife with negligence and I felt the experience was embarrassing and uncalled for. I expressed that we shouldn't be treated the way we are because of their mistakes and to the type of experience we're having that this now needs to just be covered. I told the manager due to this disrespect that I'm not going to take care of the check. The manager kept screaming and told us that we're never allowed back to this iHop. I will be contacting corporate for this incident. As a customer, we were wronged on multiple counts and rather than the highest form of authority for that store taking accountability and fixing the problem, he just made it worse. Whole time I dined there I experienced just abrasive behavior from the manager to the workers in how he demanded certain things from a table he kept sitting it and making jokes with the patrons. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI arrived staff was no wear to be found waited 4 min then waiter came from the back look to be texting on her phone just asked how many no hello anything an older later was there wasnāt eating just charging her phone took another 5 min to place my order no one there to order but me no others was in the restaurant I asked for coffee she brung the coffee told me no creamer has to give me milk I make my coffee itās cold and tastes burnt like itās been sitting all day the cook goes outside come back in eyes bulging sweating I asked to have my coffee reheated she did so took 10 min to bring it back to me I place my order and was told I get unlimited pancakes es food came so quick I thought it was already made again cold I eat my pancakes first now the waiter goes out the i mtge older lady who was charging her phone came chatted with me while I eat another ten min go by still no waiter no water was offered or my pancakes I had to ask by this time the cook had went back outside and was out there with her for the ten min when I ask for my pancakes 5 min later she bring me a place with 5 pancakes stacked at once cold as if to day here get these all at once I ate one more of the pancakes because I wasnāt happy when she returned I asked for some water and told her my situation with the coffee taste old and burnt she took it off my bill gave me the water I paid no tip because one wasnāt deserved and when I left her and the cook was back outside the door hanging out with thugs from the hotel near by will never visit again was seriously unsatisfied wish I couldāve got my money back Iām wondering did the cook even wash his hands when he left from outside and sent me over my pancakes in 5 minutes very unhappy I used to go here growing up when it was shoneys what a change I donāt think this location will be here long get rid of the cook...
