Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Lack of Basic Hospitality

We had a very disappointing experience at Dive Bar. The service was extremely poor from start to finish. Our bartender showed no interest in customer service—did not listen, did not check in, and seemed completely disengaged.

We visited on a Wednesday expecting the “Wine Down Wednesday” discount, which the bartender initially confirmed, but it was never applied to our bill. On top of that, the bartender didn’t even bother to open the bottle of wine for us. Instead, we were handed two visibly dirty wine glasses, which was both unprofessional and unappetizing.

There was a clear lack of attention to detail and basic hospitality. I don’t expect luxury service at a place called “Dive Bar,” but I do expect clean glassware, honest pricing, and staff who care enough to provide the bare minimum of service. Sadly, this visit failed...

If you’re in West Palm Beach, make sure to visit The Dive Bar at Delta Hotels by Marriott. The food is great and it's worth visiting even if you're not staying at the hotel.

For breakfast, we loved the Spanish Eggs Benedict, with Serrano ham and manchego cheese. The avocado toast was delicious, topped with heirloom tomatoes, watermelon radish, and balsamic glaze. It was also beautifully plated.

Dinner was just as impressive. We started with the Blue Grotto Calamari, which was crispy and perfectly cooked. The lobster roll with key lime aioli was packed with flavor, and the chocolate dome for dessert was the perfect way to end the meal. Its rich chocolate paired with vanilla ice cream and fresh berries and edible flowers, so tasty!

This place looks wonderful to have a nice evening dinner. Wasn’t very packed when we got here. The food was good, service was good from the girls that waitresses our table, but to be honest they REALLY need help. We were there for a convention and there were only 2 girls serving for 10+ tables, room service, and attending the bar. That’s ridiculous. The food took very long but they did the best they could.
