Nico's Pizza — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

I stopped in and asked for 4 slices to go. An older man taking the order with a heavy accent suggested that a pie would be more and less expensive. So I ordered it along with 3 cokes and paid a 18% tip. I sat outside waiting for our order with 2 other people, a 7 y/o, and a baby in a stroller. The man that took our order walked to our table and said that if we eat at the table there was a service charge. There were 4 people at one outside table and 2 people inside, that's it. When I approached him inside and asked why is there a service charge he stated that to sit at a table there is a charge. So I asked the 2 people sitting inside if they were aware that they are paying a service charge, they responded no, when the man walked by letting them know that there is no charge for 2 people. I asked to speak to the manager and a lady came to our table. Long story short the man was incorrect, if there is party of 6 or more than yes there is a charge. She apologized for his mistake. She offered to return the 18% tip, but I didn't take it. We didn't sit at the restaurant after that. Our plan was to walk and eat the slices until the order was changed to a pie. We should have taken the slices because the size of the pie seemed smaller than the 4 New York slices we originally were going to order. I didn't feel he was hustling us because he took the 18% tip for an order to go, just felt that he didn't want us to sit. I'm sure that the atmosphere and service at the time would have received 4 to 5 stars, but this rating is the result of how this man made us feel. Hopefully he doesn't make other's...

Update:9/7/23-Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! The cheese pizza slice 🍕 is huge and a perfect slice of heaven! I always ask for it very hot almost bubbly.. and it’s perfect! A spotless and very welcoming ambience! A Friendly, helpful and informative team! Your options for a slice of pizza is endless.. from cheese, pepperoni, to meat lovers to pineapple .. that’s not all they offer! A full menu! Something for everyone! Very affordable especially for Clematis Street. Dine in or out your choice! My cheese slice is a perfect NY Style pizza! The cheese to sauce ratio is perfection and the crust is actually yummy! Yes you can fold and devour! Yes! They are open and ready to serve! I know there is construction nearby but don’t let that bother you.. Clematis Street always seems to have something going on.. I came into the restaurant today with my boyfriend and immediately felt uncomfortable. I was being stared at like I was doing something wrong while I was coming up to the counter. I’m a wheelchair user and just wanted to get some food. Second issue was when she came to the counter and I tried to make small talk. She acted like she had no clue that I was speaking to her. I was looking right at her and repeated myself a couple times. My boyfriend repeated what I said and she still was confused. We almost left at that point, but I was hungry, so I just continued to order. The people in line behind us got their food first, and there was more pizza to their order than ours. I’m talking a few minutes difference in delivery time. We had to ask for napkins. At least the pizza was good. But I’ll never go back again because of the rudeness of the cashier. I didn’t have a problem that she was eating and taking a break when I rolled in, but the staring/look on her face, as I was coming in, and the poor communication at the register, makes me not want to come back! Also, where was the menu?? I saw the pizza on display, but have no clue what other options I may have...
