VERY disappointed by how deceiving all of the positive reviews were. I was so excited to come here. After paying for parking specifically to go to this place, we get there and the door is locked (4:30 pm on a Weds). Since the sign says "Open" and we already paid for parking, I called the number listed on Google. After some confusion, a nice lady comes down and opens the shop. She DOES NOT turn the lights on. The gelato IS NOT in the shop case, she has to go in the back to get it for us. We wanted to make it worth the trip and parking, so we got both gelato and chocolates. Medium gelato is $7.50 and considerably less gelato than I'm used to getting at other shops, portion-wise. I have no idea how much the truffles were each, but we paid $25 for 9. The dulce de leche gelato was weird and like, congealed. Kinda gross. The coffee and mango were fine. But the chocolates were INEDIBLE. They were SO stale, they smelled nasty and tasted worse. We had to throw almost all of them away, they literally made us nauseous. Total waste of money. I know this is a long review, but I truly hope OMC takes the time to read it because taking people's money for treats they cannot eat is NOT...
Read moreWe came in after I had wisdom teeth removal to have some ice cream. I was famished and in pain and really looking forward to it. We asked for samples to decide what to get, and were met with mumbling and rude looks by the lady behind the counter. When I asked to sample a different gelato, I got an exasperated sigh and more mumbling under the breath. Except I heard her say "gonna charge them extra for that..." This immediately turned me off, and as much as I wanted and needed something to eat and soothe my post-surgery mouth, I decided against getting something. My husband chose a small ice cream, and as she rang us up she kept talking under her breath and not making eye contact. I watched the number rise by a handful of cents each time. We both noticed and paid and left as we didn't feel like making a scene over it. Apparently samples are NOT free here, and rather than communicate it openly, she chose to mumble and get upset at us, and then charge us for it. This was not fun to deal with while I was hungry and in pain. We ended up going across the street to Peachwave and received absolutely amazing customer service. I wouldn't go back to this place if...
Read moreWe went for lunch on the strip and afterwards I stumbled across this amazing little shop that said Oh My Chocolates on the building and Gelato on the awning. We were all so intrigued by the way the exterior looked with stuffed animals from floor to ceiling in the windows. I had to go in and see what was going on to figure out why it looked like a stuffed animal palace. To my surprise it was an incredible museum of art in its own right. There were chocolates and truffles on display as you entered and a full showcase of handmade gelatos. They had costume jewelry on display for sale as far as the eye could see. A lovely lady emerged from the back who turned out to be the owner and the young woman who was serving gelatos her daughter. We had two young children in our group and the owner was so happy to offer them both stuffed animals. Her generosity and kindness was overwhelming and so inspiring. We spoke for a while and she shared her story about how she got into the business of making chocolate and gelatos. I highly recommend taking a trip there to see her collection and taste her gelatos. You won’t...
