I recently went on a date here and the experience was disappointing overall. We waited several minutes at the front door to be seated, despite the restaurant having multiple clean, empty tables. The hostess seemed unsure of where to place us, which didn’t set a good tone.
The food itself was just okay, nothing special. We tried the Bigeye Tuna Roll, Tuna Crispy Miso, Rockshrimp Tempura Roll, Wagyu Beef Tartare, and the Pork Belly Bao Buns. While edible, nothing really stood out as memorable.
Service from our server, Santiago, was mediocre. One of our items even came out in a to-go bag, despite us ordering everything to dine in. He also told us all the sushi rolls listed on the back of the menu were $14, but my bill reflected a higher charge than the listed price.
The payment process was unnecessarily frustrating. Instead of receiving a check, I was required to scan a QR code, navigate unfamiliar software, and pay an additional fee just for using the restaurant’s system. As a former server, I know it’s not difficult to simply hand a check to the table, and this setup felt impersonal and inconvenient—especially given that the bill was already inaccurate.
Gratuity was automatically included at 20%. Normally, I don’t mind that, but in this case the service didn’t warrant it. The ambiance was also lacking—it was overly bright, which made it feel more like a cafeteria than a restaurant.
Overall, the restaurant felt poorly managed, and it showed in multiple areas of the experience. With average food, poor service, and a frustrating payment process, I wouldn’t recommend...
Read moreThe food here is mediocre, my salmon avocado roll came with browned avocado. Nothing impressive. Definitely not worth the price of the sushi. Not many gluten free options.
Took our waiter a long time to take our drink order or even acknowledge us, then at check out he proceeded to tell us the 20% added to the bill was a service fee for the restaurant not his tip.
Wasn't impressed with the ambiance, very hard to hear with everyone yelling, as the place echos.
Will not be...
Read moreMy husband and I have dined here twice now and both times I left sick. All of the food is saturated with oil and greasy. The kani is very low grade imitation crab meat. It feels/taste like Applebees quality, but the price is triple. I HATE the QR scan check and the auto gratuity. Especially because both times, our server did not deserve the...
