One the worst experience i’ve ever experience in my life from a hotel/restaurant. Im not the guy that does a lot of reviews but I had to do on this one i felt so Disrespected on Saturday I cant even put on words the staff and management, made me feel especially the manager. First of all I wanted to say that i used to always bring my friends there from another areas to see that beautiful rooftop and thats what happened yesterday, me and 3 of my friends which they from Orlando wanted to have some drinks and eat the Spruzzo which i normally used to take my friends or people from outside over there. So yesterday we got there around 3-4 pm ordered our drinks having a good time and around 8 pm we decided to closed our tab and continue to be there a little bit more, so within that time we ordered 2 more drinks each, and move to the pool side to talk and hang out, as we were about to leave we asked for our Tabs to pay for it the drinks we consumed and we saw that they had rung out 2 more drinks on each of our tabs so we told the server that and she said that she was going to talk to her manager, and she comes back she said that those were the chargers and we had pay for them. So we asked to talk to the manager and he comes out and say that those were the chargers and we had to pay for them, and that he would look at the cameras, so we told him to go ahead it would be only far to pay for something that we consumed, i didnt asked him to waived anything all i asked him was for him to see it and remove because I wasnt going to pay something that i didnt consumed, so another waiter or staff came to us and said “yes you guys did consume, why are you guys fighting over 40 bucks” so i told her that i wasnt fighting for $40 bucks that the only thing that i wanted us to be charged fairly, i am a honest man that will pay for bills i never cry or have arguments because of a bill. So this manager had the audacity to tell us that we are drunk and that theres no way the charges were wrong because we were there from 4 pm and it was already 10 pm, so I told him that I was not drunk and I paid before that i only had to pay for 2 drinks that i got after, even showed him my bank account with the charges i had before, that I understand that he is the manager and I asked him was to fix the bill I will pay and leave, so he tells me that he could waive 1 of the drinks and that I had to put for the other 3, so I told him no im not gonna pay for something i didnt consumed, so he tell us that he would call the cops and we told him to go ahead, so he goes inside and start talking to his security staff and decided probably not to call the cops so we called the cops for him and thats when he got aggravated and told us to leave his “Hotel”(which I does not know he owns) and to never come back, so we left.
This review is for everyone to have a eye opener just because you are drinking that doesnt mean you are drunk and I was completely fine I didnt want to get into that level.
This restaurant/bar will over charge your bill and tell you that you are drunk.
I will not only not go over there again but the people that is out of the town and want to go somewhere, i will not take them there that was embarrassing, that manager and his waiter that came to me and said that we did consumed and “why we were fighting for $40 bucks” should not be in any customer service company. Thats not how you should treat a...
Read moreCurrent post: I previously posted a bad review due to an unpleasant experience; however I am a believer of second chances and I must say my recent experience was great! The bartender Blandine was the absolute best! I enjoyed everything about her and the amazing energy she exuded. I will definitely be returning just to see her!
Past post: I recently moved to West Palm Beach and was looking for different dining experiences that I can enjoy for myself and endorse for my clients. The first time I dined at Spruzzo was great. I enjoyed it so much that I planned to celebrate my 55th birthday by renting a cabana and enjoying a pool day. After which I was planning to submit a 5 star review due to my previous experience.
When speaking with the staff about cabana rentals the only stipulations I was advised of were the $500 F&B minimum and that non guests had to reserve after 5pm. Both stipulations were fine with me so I reserved to celebrate my birthday.
I wanted to enjoy the pool and jumped in. At this time I and my guests were approached by security and advised that non hotel guests could not get in the pool!! As you can imagine I was surprised because at No Point during my reservation was this information divulged. It would have been a dealbreaker because the pool was the most important component of my celebration. This literally ruined my special day. As an events executive I have rented cabanas all over the world and have NEVER known the pool to be off limits. It really is an important part of the experience. So important that if I had been told this I would have happily reserved a room.
When sharing my concerns with management the only thing they offered to remedy my bad experience was to comp the $15 parking🙄. So after spending $500 my birthday was ruined! I would have been willing to continue to support the establishment if I had at least felt some accountability from management for their lack of communication.
Again, I would have given 5 stars but this experience made me quite sad. I am hopeful that staff will be advised to be more transparent with customers about the cabana rentals. It is a significant investment in an experience for important components to be omitted.
As a faithful Marriott Gold member this was truly disappointing.
The lesson: if you want to rent the cabana as a non hotel guest you CANNOT get...
Read moreThis was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had in a long time. I was just there last night (for the first time) and the service was the WORST. I regret not getting the waiter's name but he was HORRIBLE. It wasn't that crowded when we got there, but it took forever for the guy to take our order and for the food to come. My side salad came 20+ minutes after my meal (the salad was way over loaded with onions and peppers in ratio to actual lettuce and the waiter never even asked what kind of dressing I wanted - so as he walked away, I had to call him back- Uh, was he going to bring it with no dressing?). They seated us outside by the pool, and though the view was beautiful, they didn't have the proper seats for our table and my date had to sit in a seat made for a high top table, which meant his legs couldn't fit under our table and he couldn't sit close to the table... meanwhile they had a table right next to us, reserved with the proper sized seats but they wouldn't let us take one of them to use... and no one showed up for that table until we were just about to leave, which meant those seats sat empty the whole time... .*NOTE: If you don't have proper seats for your guests, you shouldn't seat them there... very embarrassing and extremely infuriating. Then, on top of it all.... the table light we had, the batteries died, and it took about 15 minutes for the guy to come around for us to ask for a new light for our table so we could see our menu. We also had to chase down the waiter just to take our order, otherwise we would have been sitting there all night. Just the worst. None of the staff seemed to know what they were doing from the time we walked in the door until we left. My date took me here to impress me, but in turn, I was far from impressed and I felt so bad for him because he was trying to make a good impression. The pounding club music was also a little excessive for a 7 o'clock dinner... it would have been be more appropriate music for after 9pm. In summary - The place comes off very high end but it was an over all pretty low grade experience. I can't say that I'd waste my time going back. There are other rooftop establishments that offer a better experience to match the view. I'd suggest management have a...
