I randomly started getting spammed with marketing texts from this salon tonight after 9pm on a Tuesday after not being there for years nor signing up for marketing texts all those years ago. Julio was great my first time seeing him. The second time, I rebooked him on his website as he suggested. I booked well in advance and multiple services totaling around 6 hours worth of his time and was prepared to pay for that time and the services. A couple of days prior to my scheduled and accepted appointment, he called me to tell me that I did not know what I wanted, that I booked things wrong, and he would fix it in the system, and I shouldn't worry. I came in for my appointment and explained what I wanted. He told me he wouldn't have the time because he only scheduled me for 2 hours and he had other clients. I reminded him that I originally booked for much more time and service than that, and that he assured me he knew what was best so I trusted him. He ended up rushing the service and making me feel very guilty. I still tipped well. After I left, he texted me saying he forget to take pictures of my hair for his Instagram. He asked me if I would take some for him when I got home. I did dedicate some time to try and do this but I am extremely busy in life, don't have professional lighting, and it's difficult to take pictures of the back of my head. Also, I didn't necessarily want the inside of my apartment to be posted on his social media, I ended up giving up and forgetting about it. When I was ready for a bang trim, he ghosted me multiple times until I just gave up. I have no idea why after all these years I am getting marketing texts from his salon after 9pm on a Tuesday because according to the TCPA even if I did give written consent, that still violates the law, and I did not give written consent as I have not spoken to Julio or Flow...
Read moreLike so many of you out there, I try to support my local businesses whenever possible. When I looked up this local salon, they had good reviews so I thought I would give it a try. Unfortunately, my experience is not as great as the 5 star reviews posted online. It took over a month to book a hair apt on the weekend. Perhaps it was the Groupon, I don't know but some businesses only give prime weekend spots to non-discounted customers. The morning of my appointment, Julio, the owner texted to cancel giving me less than a few hours to scrambled to find another hair dresser as I had an event that evening. He said he would reach out to me and re-schedule but he NEVER DID. A couple of weeks later I followed up with a text asking to re-book, NO RESPONSE. I texted again & followed up with a phone call a few days later and again NO RESPONSE! His voicemail says you can book online but that is not true. Julio was professional and I love the haircut he gave me. I intend to become a regular of his in the years to come. Julio was kind, thoughtful and a great conversationalist during my appointment, we laughed and chatted the whole time, I nearly forgot why I was there until he spun me around and revealed a beautiful blow out. His salon was immaculately clean and he offers a variety of beverages to chose from. Overall I highly recommend visiting Flow Salon. He told me they do a variety of other services there including nails, I hope to one day visit and try out those other services.
