Herbs and Earth — Local services in West Palm Beach

I will no longer be shopping here due to toxic chemicals poisoning pets in her shop.

When I tried to go into the Herb and Earth shop today with my dog, (which I’ve done multiple times before) I was told by the owner that now no dogs are allowed due to multiple pets getting sick after entering her shop with vet bills amounting to over $5000. She unapologetically told me it was due to the cleaning chemicals she uses.

This is a huge red flag for me. How can an herb and tea store who talks about organic, holistic and alternative medicine use cleaning products so harsh that it is poisoning pets and sending them to the vet in a matter of a few minutes? Is this chemical now on everything in the store?

I’ve personally never thought the teas and herbs I’ve bought from here to be of exceptional quality but I was more than happy to shop there and be supporting a local business. While it’s unfortunate I can’t take my dog (who is training as a working dog) into the store anymore the reason I won’t be shopping here is due to the ‘say one thing but do another’ attitude of the owner. I cannot in good conscience shop at an “organic and holistic” herb and tea store that poisons those who enter and knowingly refuses to change.

Also, my service dog’s shampoo has tea tree oil in it and is only toxic if an animal ingests a large amount or if a large undiluted amount is applied directly to their skin (which is an issue for people as well) Both of which seems implausible to have happened in a store let alone in a store with no overpowering tea tree oil aroma. You avoided the question about what chemicals you use twice when we talked. If it was as innocuous as essential oils why refuse to tell me when I asked? Either way you are/were unapologetically using a product or concentrations of a product that is known to cause severe issues in animals (and if it’s that strong its an issue for people as well) and have effectively made it impossible for people with service animals (and I’d say any person with sensitive skin or allergies) to safely...

I walked in for the first time yesterday and I fell in love immediately! This store is unbelievably heavenly, and the owner Amy is an actual angel! Walking into this locally owned and operated metaphysical market is like stepping into a timeless realm of divine energy. Incense is already burning out on the sidewalk to welcome you before even entering the shop.

I have walked into similar shops before and found myself to be overwhelmed with stimulations from too many products & options to uncontrolled fragrances, but Herbs & Earth is nothing like the others. The inside is wonderfully balanced both by welcoming, open space and a stunningly well curated selection of pieces. This is a great space for everyone, no matter if you are new to spiritual practice or have been connected for several lifetimes.

With plenty of options & variety, you can expect to find organic herbs, mortar & pestle sets (herb crushing bowls), crystals, sage, stones, statues, jewelry, wind chimes, dream catchers, books, organic teas, pure infused body oils, hand rolled incense & boxed incense, incense towers, holders, & burning trays. Amy is also very connected to, & knowledgeable about, the local community, so if she doesn't have what you are looking for then she probably knows who does!

I googled and herb store near me and this is the very first shop that showed up. I am very grateful that I was able to meet one of the owners, her name is Amy & she was amazing and so informative with everything that she shared with me. I came in there looking for certain herbs for fertility And then I ended up buying herbs not just for fertility but also buyin some crystals.
