I'm from western NY , I tried this pizza on vacation. This place was very busy, mostly to go orders. My first impression was this place is awesome. When you first walk in you see all types of candy and snacks very cheaply priced. I was actually impressed. You can tell by the low prices that the candy is there to make the kids happy and easy on the parents wallets. That is at least I how felt immediately. I wanted to stop back before we headed home, but they weren't open. Closed on Mondays. My kids would have loved going in there and seeing all the stuff. I stopped in on a whim for a slice. I ended up getting some fried dough also. The total was a little over $11. I didn't really know what to expect from what I ordered. The fried dough was in a small pizza box. It absolutely filled the whole box. The fried dough was good. My only complaint about it is that the dough itself was pretty salty ( probably the same dough for the pizza) . If the dough wasn't salty it would have been amazing. The " slice" of pizza is pretty much the size of a small pizza. The pizza dough itself tasted amazing I just like a thicker dough on my pizza. Not much sauce that I could taste over the dough and the taste of the cheese. Overall I liked it and wanted to go back. If we ever come back that way I hope that this place is...
Read moreMy go-to spot. Mainly because I care about quantity of food over quality. Quality isn't bad, but there is far better pizza and calzones elsewhere. You won't get the same portions though, even a small calzone is hard to finish. The crazy slices are a meal in itself, and only $5-7. Subs are my favorite, always satisfying. The dinners I've tried were all good, especially the Pescadore, and they come with a salad and garlic bread. Some dinners are two for $18. Tony's seafood combo is massive. Salads are half the cost of Clemenzas and twice the size. Only thing I haven't liked there was the stuffed jalapeños. Only complaints are that they tell you 20 minutes, and then you get there and are waiting in a cramped space blocking the door, for another 10 minutes. One time I showed up 10min after they told me to, and waited there for a half hour! Just go later than what you're told. All the decor is cool to look at, but is dusty and dirty. Makes me wonder how clean the kitchen is. Shout out to the owner, Tony. This man must work 60+ hours on his feet in a hot kitchen, and he never misses a day, and is very nice. Look for the sailor hat, I've never seen him without it. He will continue to get regular business from me. Highly recommended if you are hungry and not...
Read moreUp untill today I've been a regular ustomer with these guys for years. Their pizza is fantastic when done correctly and I'd say it's about a 50/50 hit or miss in quality. Lately my pizza had been on the verge of not cooked thoroughly enough. Today I politely requested over the phone that I wanted my pizza extra crispy. When I got there, I checked and once again it wasn't crispy at all and closer to being not done. Tony looked at me and said "This is the best I can do right now somebody else's is already in the oven and if I put this back in there now it'll be sloppy." I do not enjoy sloppy pizza and I do not appreciate sloppy business. I would have been annoyed, but willing to wait for a correct one; but he threw the pizza back in, rushed it, and then once again handed me a doughy non crispy pizza. The crisp for me really makes all the difference between hating it and loving it; and it would be like requesting Hawaiin, forgetting the pineapple and then saying "sorry, this is the best I can do right now". They are a quaint little place and I'll miss going; but their lack of consistency and sour attitude today cost them a...
