Tandem Bagel Company — Restaurant in West Springfield

First, the food was good and the five people in my party were pleased with the bagels and sandwiches. I had a large order and somehow tandem bagel forgot to make the order. I waited 45 minutes and I thought that was reasonable because it was very crowded but after I noticed several people had come and gone, many after me, I asked what’s the status of my order. The tandem staff told me they forgot to make my order. So, they made the order and got our drinks soon after that, but I was totally confused how they would just forget to make an order. Also. I was confused they didn’t offer me anything like a couple bagels as a gesture of apology for me waiting 50+ minutes to get my order. I just don’t think that they have staff trained to understand what the customer is experiencing.Additionally, while I was waiting for my order, I had to announce names of people that had orders placed in the pick up area. The tandem staff put down an order and said a name quietly and walked away. Three times I decided to yell out the person‘s name and give them the order. Experience was average at best. There was zero "service" from the male cashier, not even a "Hello", or a "How are you" or a "what can I get you?" He just stared at me as if I was a burden, so I started to order. As a service worker, I hate when customers ignore my greeting and just immediately start ordering, so I was trying to be considerate but was instead met with stares and silence. The first time he said a word was to ask me "anything else?" after we had both endured 30 seconds of uncomfortable silence.

Bagel sandwich was mediocre. Cheese does not get melted, so it was just a cold slice on the sandwich. I've eaten at 2 Tandem Bagels now and both times were ok. Would recommend instead going to Rice Fruit Farm- same bagels, but MUCH better bagel sandwiches.

The store was clean with a good layout. Prices were a bit high.

Very poor service. No where to sit, dirty tables and floors. I ordered takeout and sat about 10 feet from the counter. I waited over a half over while people who came in after me got their food and ate or left. When I go up to the counter and ask about my food they tell me it was already made and they called my name and someone else took my order. When I said no one called my name the lady was rude and said "well I did call it name." Which was a blatant lie! She then proceeded to give me an attitude as if it were my fault my food was taken. In all it took a little under an hour to receive our food. After I reciprocated the attitude, which I don't like doing, the manager sent someone to my table to take 50% off of my check. It was a nice gensture. However, a little too late I will not be returning to the West Springfield location. I'll take my family to the Easthampton, MA one from now on! Very poor service and dirty...
