Came in on 09/05, asked if the "BBQ brisket" kolache was all beef, and the guy working the counter rudely replied "obviously, what other brisket is there?" with a condescending attitude. I told him I just want to make sure its only beef (with no pork product). He continued by saying "tell me, what other briskets are there huh?" insinuating that I was being idiotic. He repetitively asked this question when I tried shrugging it off. I didn't answer because I did not feel I was obligated to explain my health reasoning. It might sound like a weird question on my part, but pork brisket exists, or even beef brisket with pork additives. Although pork brisket is not as common, I am deadly allergic to all pork products so I dont expect to be pestered when I am double checking to make sure I don't have an allergic reaction. I didn't get his name, he wasnt wearing a name tag, but It wasn't Nestor it was the other employee running the counter that morning. I continued by saying "its only 7 in the morning why do you have to be so rude and talk to me like that, why the attitude? I just asked a question." He responded by saying "I didnt have any attitude and I wasn't rude but if you saw it like that, sorry, I guess." After I moved aside, he went on to ask the next customer if he has heard of any other brisket than beef, cause "that guy" (me) thinks there is (they both then proceeded to look at me). Completely unnecessary and petty. Terrible customer service, uncaring employees. The whole time it looked like he was also annoyed to be there. This experience also reflects management, maybe they don't care about the the quality of workers they employ. Aparently other reviewerss agree too. I treated him with respect and to be talked to in this way makes me not want to give them my business. I regret spending my money here. I would advise finding another kolache factory. Never had any experience like this...
Read moreWhat I loved about this Kolache factory on Kirby was that the cashier offered me and told me that they would gladly make me fresh Kolaches because they ran out of rancheros by the time I went there and it was around 10:45 and he told me that it will take 40 minutes so for sure I waited patiently for my favorite Kolache that is rancheros because the others Kolaches factory that I've been going lately they didn't even bother to let me know that they will make me fresh rancheros Kolaches they'll just say we already ran out of it but they way they will say it to me very rudely with annoying tone very unprofessional . The cashier from Kolache factory on Kirby gave me great customer service and while I was waiting for my fresh Kolaches I saw and liked the way he attended every person that would come to the store and make sure the customer left happy and satisfied with their orders. That's exactly how it has to be in every place especially when it comes to buying food, attending to the customer with full commitment, respect and with a friendly attitude and not rudely or a different type of energy. I recommend everyone to buy their Kolaches at this Kolache factory on Kirby at Rice village you won't be...
