On our first time visiting we tried two of their drinks. They didn't make a good first impression unfortunately.
The drinks were pretty average in taste and the place is also average in ambiance. There's game boards and a decent amount of seating. It's mostly large tables and chairs but the space feels old and untidy. Not really going back tbh. They lack organization, customer service coaching, and maybe better drinks to compete with other Boba places nearby that are way better in my opinion.
They were not busy so I don't know why they take so long and kept getting my order wrong. They kept forgetting ingredients. I asked for a drink off the menu plus two sinkers, so it wasn't a complicated order per say. I took it back and after waiting almost 15 minutes to add the missing add-on, by the time I got my drink back, the ice had melted. I got to my car and finally got a taste and found out that they had also forgotten to sweeten it. I didn't feel like waiting another 15 minutes for them to add sweetener so I left...
Read moreI have been going to this teahouse location a lot for my late night studies. The drinks and food are great. I order boba, coffee, and finger foods to last me until closing time. The background music playlist is also very up-to-date and conducive for studying. The staff is also amazing. They always try to make sure I am satisfied with my order. One of the staff members, Ronnie S, especially creates a very fun atmosphere and I could tell a lot of these regular customers love him. The only reason I took out one star from this review is because tonight when I was there, a couple walked in, started yelling, and was being very rude to the staff. The couple disrupted a good half an hour of my study time and held up the line for other customers too. I have never seen anything like the two of them and I really hope this is not representative of Houston’s...
Read moreAs a recent boba tea newbie, I really like going to the Teahouse for some good tea at a good price (as Teahouse isn't as expensive as other boba tea places). They also have tons of other options that I have yet to try, like smoothies and slush things. My personal fave is Almond Cream Tea. The actual place in the Village is really neat too, and they have board games which is really cool. But just as most restaurants do, they have off days. Sometimes I order boba and it was really good and flavorful and the tapioca was sweet and soft and wonderful. Other times I order boba and the tea isn't as flavorful and the tapioca is hard and crunchy and almost stale. It happens sometimes, so...
