A good friend, Terry brought me to Asia Palace. It is located in the old cafe of Kowloon that we knew growing up in Granger Utah. Walking in the cafe was like walking back into old wonderful memories of Kowloon Cafe. The decor, of course has changed immensely. The booths are still high back covered maroon and black leather. There are cityscape pictures on the walls, and mirror runs along the west wall. It looks very nice, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It was a wonderful quiet time with my friend. He ordered us Pho with everything, egg roll, and Thai Tea. The Pho had beef, tripe, something else, rice noodles, sausage, fresh cut green onions, white onions, limes, Jalapenos, Thai Basil, another herb that was long and we broke it into our Pho. We added chili, and Sriracha sauce to spice it up. The meat is served a little pink, so we dunked our meat into the hot broth to cook off some more. The egg roll was fresh, and crispy, the vegetable combination was excellent. An order consists of 3 rolls cut in half with lettuce garnish, and sauce. The Thai Tea was really good. The flavor of the tea is excellent, they make it with sweetener and add regular dairy cream. The drink comes a little bit layered, Terry said some places will actually layer the tea and cream. The creamy flavor of the tea was unexpected. I suggest you try it. The price for two was moderate. Next time it's my treat! Good food with longtime friends who have always mattered is priceless. Here's to friends from grade school and...

It has been a month but based on the unreliable score I feel I should put my name to my message- Not Worth the time or money! On the occasion I tried this once the service was neglectful and house maybe had two other tables I know yes I am horrible to only choose to drink water but I was given 10oz and no more. When ordering food there was a language barrier (not a bad thing) but as I tried to point and communicate my order I assumed we had agreed to my desire hostess/waitress/lump on a log gave my order to kitchen then in a good timely manner food arrived to my table and it was no better than frozen dinner quality. I still ate as it must be what I had chosen however when I go to the register (never once checked on by staff and without water for over 25 mins) she told me the total was different then in menu. I turned picked up a menu and again pointed to what I verbally ordered and she denies saying I ordered a different plate. I explain that I did not and would be paying for what I had said as it is not in my realm of possibility to control what the kitchen choose to serve me. Mind you it was lomien either way. So after a back and forth I directly stated that I will walk if that is how we need to resolve the situation. She complied and I did tip as we are all human....

If you want delicious Pho or Vietnamese style hot pot, this place is probably the best in SLC. My job takes me all over the world and my palate is rooted in European comfort and Hawaiian Asian fusion. That being said, there are restaurants in SLC that are better for other menu items. What has kept me coming back at least once or twice a week for almost three years is the consistency. The soup broth is very flavorful and gets better as you add flavors like hoisin, fresh basil, lime, chili and bean sprouts. My favorite is the oxtail special. It is always filling and very satisfying. I have watched the owners and found them very practical in their approach to customer service. You order, the food comes promptly, you enjoy, you pay, you go. I have never felt rushed even when it was crazy busy. For Pho or Vietnamese style noodle soup, this...

I’ve been coming here for the last four years now. It has changed quite a bit. The service to the pricing. Lately it has been disappointing. I ordered two plates to take out. Obviously on the plate, my order is listed for 14$ for each which should be 28 plus tax. My total came out to be $35.71, so you’re telling me they tax me 7 dollars and 71 cent? So not worth it guys. You want your money worth, go to places like gossip tapioca, tuk tuk, Chinese taste, etc. you’ll get so much more with taxes that isn’t like that. And one thing I hate is that their receipt doesn’t show the listing of what you brought, just the total.

Went there with friends last week. Got the fresh spring rolls, house special pho, iced Vietnamese coffee and hot tea. The restaurant is a simple, clean place, not fancy, casual. Owner is very friendly and comes by to see if his customers are done well. The hot tea was normal oolong, good, not bitter. The iced coffee was yummy, not too sweet either. The spring rolls were just ok, good, but not the best I've had. The pho was really good, not oily. Gave plenty of side veggies. Noodles were cooked well, not overcooked. Good amount of meats too. Would go back again...

This is the worst restaurant experience I can remember. I called at 8pm and asked if the could do a take out order. The woman was short and unaccomidating on the phone and in person. They started the order when I arrived. $50 for 1 beef brocolli, 1 kung pao chicken, rice, and egg rolls. It was un edible. The sauce was the same for both dishes, it was gelatinous and clumpy, there were completely soft pieces of broccoli. It appeared as if they scraped the remnants from the days dishes and served it.
