Went here for lunch. The restaurant was not busy - there was our group and three other tables with people at them for most of our time there. We arrived at ~11:45. When the server came to take our order, I ordered my food for there and a to go order to take home for my wife. Wings for me, a Monte Cristo for her. The server asked if I wanted that now or later, and I said at the end of the meal. When they brought our meals, they had food for five of the six of us. I got mine, but without fry sauce. I asked for some from the person who delivered the food and got a nod. When they came back by later, I repeated asking for the fry sauce, and the person who didn't have a meal yet asked where theirs was. They apologized and left. Came back with the 6th person's meal, but still no fry sauce. At that point, I stopped caring about fry sauce and ate my wings. When everyone was done eating around 12:30, I asked for a box for my leftovers and the to go order. They nodded, but never came back with a box. At 12:45, I flagged down the server to ask about the to go meal. She then came and took the order for it again as well as settling up the bills. The way they have you pay is to put the credit card into the device the server holds. Then you put in the tip as the server watches over your shoulder. I tipped and paid for both my meal and the to go order. Fifteen minutes later, at 1 pm, the people who were driving me had to leave. I got some of the others to give me a ride while I waited for the to go order. A different server tried to deliver us food that was supposed to go to another table twice, once getting up to us to deliver it and once where the other server saw and waved them off first. At 1:10, 25 minutes after paying, the peolle with me needed to go so I got up to check on the order. With Four total tables with people sitting at them, they told me that the kitchen was swamped and so things were behind. The bartender asked what I wanted them to do, and I said I wanted my food so I could go. The server was still polite, while the bartender immediately became combative. He pointed at the kitchen, where two cooks were visible in the window doing nothing, and said that he and the server weren't cooks, so they couldn't do anything. The server asked what I wanted, and I said I wanted my meal. They said it was almost done and I'd just have to wait. Well, it was leave then, order a ride, or walk 5 miles back to work, and the food was certainly not even close to good enough to do the last two, so I left. This was the second time our regular Thursday lunch group attempted to go here. Last time, they were just so slow that we were there for two hours. We will...
Read moreWe came in and were told to seat ourselves. A very unpleasant man with zero personality came to our table and asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for a moment to decide. He came back and told me that our server would be there soon. I asked for an alcoholic drink on the menu and my friend asked for a water. We told him we were ready right then to order. He reluctantly took our order. He had to look at the drink menu to know what I was talking about, so I showed him. He grudgingly came back with my drink… the wrong drink I’ll add, and also our food. The food was gross. I ordered a salad it didn’t look like the salad I had ordered at Bout time at a different location. The salad just looked wrong. I found a huge frozen fry hanging out on top. At that point I drank the wrong drink and decided against the salad. My friend’s food was edible if we had to rate it we’d give it a 2 out of 10 not great for sure. A young lady came to our table and I told her about my wrong drink and my salad I wouldn’t be eating. She apologized sweetly and took my plate and sent the unpleasant man to our table. I told him what was wrong with the drink and he admitted he made the wrong one and then rudely went to get the menu to show me that turkey was supposed to be in my Italian salad. I asked if the salad was supposed to have frozen fries too. I told him we’d pay for the drink because I drank it and we’d pay for my friends food because he ate a few bites of it. He stomped off. The girl came back again, apologized and said her manager who by the way was the extremely unpleasant man that had served us, he so very kindly took the disgusting salad I ordered off the bill. We still paid over 28 dollars for garbage. I hope the sweet young lady who was sadly the only waitress serving on cinco de Mayo finds a better job with a much better manager soon!! Prayers young lady you’re the reason I gave the atmosphere a 3. It was the 5600 West Valley location. Your managers name...
Read moreI have a friend that had gone to "Bout Time" and he had a Reuben Sandwich. I like a good Reuben so I thought I would try it. I must first say I don't frequent pub's or such. I was always the designated driver/ get us back to the base person when I was in the Navy. With that being said, the atmosphere was very pub-ish. There are several screens providing a good selection of sports or other programing you can watch. There is music playing. There are people talking. And the staff is very friendly and professional. I just dropped in for take out and the place was bubbling with life. I did get a Reuben Sandwich and it was good; but, the things I liked, as well/or better, were the Firecracker Shrimp and the Jalapeno Poppers. They were amazing!!! I'm in my 60's now and the volume of sound inside is something I don't tend to handle as well as I did years ago; but, if I saw correctly they do have some tables outside, where you can eat and visit in a bit quieter setting. Everyone appeared to be smiling and enjoying themselves. That's something I always like to see. There were several tasty looking choices on the menu. I think when I go again I'll try the "Monte Cristo". Would I recommend "Bout Time"? If you are into the "Pub" or "Grub" portion of a "Pub and Grub" I would definitely say give them a try. You know "Sometimes, you want to go where everybody knows your name...". Thanks "Bout Time". Keep up the...
