Not impressed. When I went in the lady told me to go put my double toddler stroller on the side of the counter but then failed to give me any further attention until I said something like 5 minutes later. Plus I had a crib which was disassembled and they told me that I had to put it together there so they could see if it was stable and if it met regulation. Or that I had to bring it in whole whichever. And then when I tried to haggle business on the double stroller I was told that it's only worth $20 according to the computer system and that the lady is only doing what the computer said. In the world of business the old saying is that everything is negotiable. So if you come here not caring what you're going to sell it for in are literally willing to give it up for whatever their computer says without question even though you originally bought the products for about $150 or more so, be prepared to receive maybe $20 to maybe $40 on a return. You might as well sell it on Craigslist or eBay. Not only that but how would you transport a large product like a crib that's fully intact unless you had a truck or some kind of Transportation unit that's lagging behind your vehicle? Who's going to be able to lift the whole thing or even fit in a standard vehicle without the aforementioned requirement? they're going to want you to spend a whole 20 minutes to an hour depending on how handy you are to put it back together again if you don't bring it in whole as if we don't have other things to do with our lives. Plus they don't clean anything you bring in even for a double check apparently according to the employee I spoke to show it is entirely your responsibility to make sure everything is completely done. What if you're in a hurry and it's maybe got some dust on it or something and a hard-to-reach place that you forgot about? I'm not going to spend the time to reassemble that large Crib in that space only for them to tell me that they're only going to give me $20 for it or that it doesn't fit regulation and then dismantle it again wasting more time to end up in the dumpster bin. It's kind of disturbing that they don't have like a hired mechanic to put stuff together and take stuff to part or even a laundry Duty person to double-check things when they come in just in case the customer forgot to clean it or do something with the product. I felt like the employee I haggled with doesn't know how to do business properly in is only bouncing off the machine because she's either new or simply doesn't care and wants to get on with her conversation...
Read moreEditing my original review because my last couple trips to this location have been so frustrating. There’s definitely good finds here. I’ve been able to find beautiful, good condition clothes, shoes, etc. for myself and my boys. HOWEVER. 1. Checking out takes FOREVER. If the person in front of you doesn’t know about a sale until checkout, they will let you continue shopping while everyone else is waiting in line. And they take their sweet time ringing up items. I get talking to the customer to build a relationship, but not when you stop what you’re doing or slow waaaay down. 2. Selling stuff takes way too long. 3. I get with Covid things are constantly changing. At first, Kid to Kid was doing really good at keeping everyone informed. But now, they’ve been changing rules and apparently not been telling people. I walked in at 6 today to sell items, like I have in the past (I have come in twice to do so since Covid). I was told by the same manager who helped me last time that they stopped taking items at 5:30. When two times before, when I had arrived at 5:35 she had said that they took them until 6:30. She also denied saying that to my face, saying it wouldn’t have been her to say something like that. But I know it was indeed her, because it was that same trip where she told me that they don’t take maternity items that don’t say maternity on a tag, and that her twin worked at the SLC location (that I went to afterward to try to find a swing, and her sister checked me out). I’m so unbelievably frustrated as I’m typing this. And I’m going to be trying to file a complaint...
Read moreI really love Kid to Kid, and I have been to a lot of different locations. West Valley used to be one of my favorites (when it was located next to Tuk Tuk's), but this new location is out of its mind. I have never seen a location with such high prices. I literally choked when I looked at some items that caught my eye. I was looking in the toy section with my son, and I saw this cute plastic horse. Not a Barbie branded horse or anything, just a well loved circus souvenir (I included a picture). I decided I wanted to buy it, so I turned it over to see the price... Take a moment and guess how much they're asking for this used, damaged, hollow plastic toy... It was $13.99 Needless to say, I didn't buy it. Another example, I stopped to look at shoes and I gasped! They had the cutest kids Vans I'd ever seen! Now I was expecting these to be high prices, they're name brand and in good condition for used shoes. The Where's Waldo slip ons that I included a picture of...$45.00 I was expecting at least $20 or $25, but I was not expecting it to be full price straight from the mall. Anyway, a lot of stuff in this location was super awesome, but the prices are the most ridiculous I've ever seen in a...
