Update: I thank you but no thank you. I understand that a bad review makes your company look bad. I get that. But what's worse is to lie about it. Own it. Anyone that specializes in customer service, would apologize first, then explain. Not to go to extra lengths to ensure that they remain looking good. First off-no apology. Secondly, yes, the sandwich was remade, but only after my husband had to demand that the General Manager- Michaela was called at home to authorize it. After repeatedly stating that "we don't do that, because people try to get free food." Finally, after about 10 minutes of arguing back and forth, a deep-sigh "fine, we'll remake it" was given to authorize the remaking of a sandwich that your restaurant messed up in the first place. We didn't bring in a half eaten sandwich! It was a sandwich that was not even opened and you could smell the onions through the bag! And to lie about the coupon-really??? So, where did I get the information about a $5.00 coupon? The sky? You said it, your associate said it, and I declined it. Not going to argue with a subpar sandwich shop over a 10 dollar sandwich. What's more effective? Telling everyone I know not to service your location, because now, not only do they not value your customers, they also lie on their customers to make themselves look good.
Customer service is absolutely the worst at the Jersey Mike's in the Martinsburg Commons. They do not value their customers! Ordered two high priced subs and asked specifically for no onions. My husband is allergic. What did they do? Put onions on it! So when I called, to alert them and let them know that I was coming in to get the sandwich remade ( kindly might I add) I was told by some thirteen year old nit wit that " umm, yeah, we dont do that. We can give you a 5 dollar coupon." Umm what the f$@k is $5.00 going to do for me? That damn sandwich was 10 bucks. And they couldn't even get that $h!t right. Thank you, but no thank you. Keep your coupon and your subpar customer service. Wouldn't eat here again if I was three...
Read moreWe love Jersey Mike's. But this location has had issues. Just writing this so others are careful. Don't be afraid to write a bad review. If you think no one will take you seriously. We had delivered two steak and cheese subs this past month. One of them had a small piece in it that looked like something chipped off of some hard plastic or glass. Rock shaped. It was small yes but Not small enough to not be dangerous. It was very hard. I could've break it apart. that shouldn't be in our food. I was beyond livid when we messaged a "manager" of the location (not sure if it was a manager) the image of what was found in the sub and they called back and said "we don't have anything that looks like that here."........oh well neither do we! Telling us they can't get us a refund or anything unless I came in........(ordered through Jersey Mike's app) but we ordered delivery for a reason. Because we were unable to go out. Someone that sounded like they were more sensible else tried to reach out but we have been to upset to contact them. Because we don't plan on going back to that location unfortunately. This is something that happened to us at this location before and it sounds like we're lying at that point but it's true. We just want to eat. We're not trying to pull a fast one on a place we love. I'd post a picture of what was found but I don't want to post anything that would make this place possibly loose customers. Trying to be nice here. Just be mindful when you're eating anything made on...
Read moreI am a true "Jersey Girl" born and raised! From Northern NJ --- 15 minutes from Manhattan, NY via the Path Train, to the Jersey Shore (Ocean County) via the Garden State Parkway or NJTPK. I know the taste of an authentic hot Pork Roll sandwich or NJ/NY style Bagel in the morning for breakfast; a "Jimmy Buffs" Italian Hotdog or NY Style slice for lunch when not enjoying a real "Jersey Sub!" When my parents moved to WV 35 years ago, they often commented on the many "NJ/NY Food Impersonators! But then my siblings and I visited The Commons and came across this gem of a sandwich shop... Jersey Subs is the closest to home I have tasted in WV. The portions are abundant like NJ/NY (shy of Cooper's Deli), and the customer service is on point. The only minus would have to be for the bread... Martinsburg is not a great breadmaking place; there are no bakeries. The bagels, hoagie bread, and hardrolls, which are crucial to the overall success of the sandwich, are often lacking. The fresher and denser the bread (NJ/NY style) - the better: slightly crispy on the outside and moist/soft on the inside (where are the bakeries here?) Another concern is the limited array of cheeses (no cheddar or Colby Jack). But overall, I give Jersey Subs 4 Stars. My family and I were truly impressed. You've won us over. Keep up the great work!
