A Fond Farewell to the Greatest Moo Shu to Ever Grace the State of Rhode Island: A Tragedy in One Part

Throughout the course of one's take out career, it is self-evident that they shall occasionally encounter a dish so revolutionary, so refined, that it comes to define one's entire perception of what a restaurant can be. For me that food was the pork moo shu at Fu Ming. Velvety smooth and savory when it needed to be savory, sweet when it needed to be sweet. It was a gastrointestinal experience. Needless to say, I was distraught when I opened the new menu and saw that moo shu was no longer officially offered, so I felt compelled to send off the old favorite with all the eloquence and respect worthy of the dish.

Some people say beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. I think that they are wrong. Beauty lay in the stomach of the beholder. And now I must be content, for I know that for at least a single, brief period in my life, I have tasted true beauty.

That being said, the ma po tofu was a treat if you can handle the texture of soft tofu. The hong shel tofu was incredible (been on a tofu kick for some reason), as are I'm assuming any of the hong shel dishes. Finally, the curry chicken etc. are super good meals. Best Chinese food place in West Warwick. We order a few times a month from this place and can’t say a bad thing about it. Starting with the service I must say every time we call the woman who takes our order is so friendly and doesn’t rush you as you are ordering. She is always happy to answer any questions on menu items with no problem. As for the food everything is so consistently delicious from everything that comes in a pu pu platter to the fried rice, lo mein and shrimp with lobster sauce. We always get delivery and over the 10 times we got the food delivered the food was always hot and the delivery was extremely fast. All of the delivery drivers also are really friendly. Best items to get on menu are the fried shrimp and egg rolls and house duck sauce . Other Chinese food places in the West Warwick area don’t even come close to the quality of this place....
